we are a group of walkers who were looking for somewhere to meet for a meal and a drink. The Black Horse fitted the bill perfectly. Great food, lovely friendly efficient staff, ideal location, resulting in an excellent evening for all 33 of us.

Sunday gone had delicious lunch at Black Horse, Swainby. I had roast lamb and my husband had roast beef, truly a memorable meal and service and staff very friendly! Thank you very much!

Courteous welcoming staff with service with a smile. Plenty of choice with food even for Vegetarians. good portions and freshly prepared and served. enjoyed a relaxing family meal without being rushed and nothing was too much when we wanted extras.

We ate of the early birds special menu. Good choice and the main menu is very extensive. The food is freshly cooked and served really well. Service excellent. Definitely recommend

Not sure but seems to be a great area for cyclists and not too far from the Tour de Yorkshire routes of last year and the Coast to Coast Route. The area is quite flat but has the advantage of the North York Moors to the east... More
