I ordered a large salad for dinner, the wrong thing to do. I had a large salad with chicken. The cost was $22. Lettuce, a couple slices of thinonion, two wedges of tomato and 4 olives. I usually cannot finish but it was small enough...I did. Not worth the price. I could have had a pasta meal with chicken and a salad for way less. Chicken parmigiana and a salad for far less. I guess I have to watch what I order. My husband had mussels and 5 didn’t open. He sent them back and got 4 in return. We are watching what eat so we are eating light. I had a glass of wine and he had water. The total was $51 plus $10 tip. You will not see me again. I will not recommend Taos to friends. I know food went up, but not that much. I will stay away.More

I am a local & have been here several times. Although it's been a while my recent visit made me wonder why I would go anywhere else. I'll make this short & sweet. The BEST lasagna I have had since I left NY. The BEST...tiramisu which they make. No complaints Go there!!!!More

I called to make a reservation, they said no, just come in. When we got there, the owner asked if we had a reservation and said we should have made one but he would seat us and serve us. He said it would take a...little while. We were ok with that. The waitress was very slow and did not know anything. I asked how much came on a plate and she said that it was just a little smaller portion of each item then on a regular order. I told her I did not want it if it only had one of each item. I even told the owner and he told me at was a lot of food. I believe this was the first italian restaurant I ever left from hungry. He argued with me about it and had the waitress come tell me it was her fault. If I had not specifically asked and said I would order something else if it was not more, I could say I was to blame but I asked. The food was pretty good but very small portions. I was very disappointed after driving 50 minutes to it. Even the pizza was burnt. Argentos is about the same distance from our house and has larger portions and better service.More

Taso Italiano......It's Spectacular! Fine food communicates flawlessly. In any language. Each luscious bite a verb, building to an expression of complete satisfaction. As I strolled across the Piazza del Little Strada (Plaza on Little Road) towards Taso Italiano, hunger as my prevailing noun, I knew...not what fooditude lay ahead. Gabby greeted me, then seated me. Just me. Ahhhhh! Breathe in, the aromas of Italy. Breath out, tempting, but I voiced no protagonist soliloquy in this one character play... I let the ambiance reveal its secrets as it may. Gabby's left handed guidance put me in my right mind, as only a fellow left hander could avow. LOL With that familiar index finger menu scroll, I hovered digitally over several possible selections. I let my mind's palate mentally meld the ingredients listed to comprehend the chef's blend. After quite a bit of tactile tasting, I settled on a venerable favorite, Veal Parmigiana. My gaze raised as I spotted Gabby approaching, in a two hands high holding plates pose. Delivering my menu decisions with a flavorful flair, she then left me to begin my mangia journey with her version of a Buon Appetito! Eyeing the two plates before me, I dug into the pasta portion for my first Taso Italiano taste test. That first bite at a new find is one of those 'drum-roll' moments. Waiting, anticipation building, as the savory bouquet melts in your mouth. I was rewarded with a perfect al dente spaghetti response. The clinging marinara produced a wonderfully fresh tomatoey acidic bounce that carried the spices bang. Pure and simple. Moving on to the veal parm, I cut into the pounded flat portion, dragging it through a cheesy marinara mound before raising it to my lips. The aromas of Italy rose to my nose in steamy whiffs. Love at first bite. As I looked around at the happy diners, I knew. This place is the real deal. Then I met the real deal. The man with his name in print and his reputation at stake, was checking in on his culinary customers. I just had to let him know I was a first-timer and I loved his cuisine. It was a treat to meet Taso. Speaking of 'stake', no, STEAK. I spied a few luxurious rib-eyes delivered to a few wide-eyed guys. The steaks looked quite tempting! (At a pasta joint!) Taso told me about that tender faire and I pronounced I'll be back, prepare mine med rare! Everything about my premier visit to Taso Italiano was superb! The place has the pulse of the piazza, the aroma of Roma and the people that make you smile. È spettacolare!More

AMAZING Italian restaurant. My husband and I were searching for an Italian restaurant and someone recommended Taso. We ate there xmas eve night and was one of the best experiences.. we were greeted by the owner and eventually met his lovely wife Sabrina. The food...was amazing with great flavor. Atmosphere was homey and inviting and service by Gabby was top notch. We will now be regulars there as we have found our home. Great job Taso family! Keep up the great work!More

My kids ask all the time to eat at Taso! The food is delicious and we love the portions. We always have leftovers and look forward to them the next day. The calzones are so full of flavor. And if you like pizza - try...out the chicken parmesan pizza. And if you have room, you can get delicious cheesecake or cannolis. The staff is very friendly.More

My children wanted a fun night to dress up and to go out to dinner, so my mother suggested Taso Italiano. IT WAS AMAZING!!! The atmosphere was relaxed and our server Tommy was superb!! Both of the owners came by our table, chatted and introduced...themselves. I think one of the best things is you can go fancy for date night or take the family for pizza and beer in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt! We were very pleased with every aspect and will absolutely be back!!! PS::::the Fra Diavolo dishes are fabulous!!!! (better than Brio @ International TBH) ;)More

We go to Taso because it's close. Brought the pizza home and the crust top and bottom was so overdone, it was not eatable. Most good pizzerias present the pie before you leave and wait your approval, didn't happen here. Not going back.

We ordered Chicken Parm dinner and a small Calzone. Both were burned to a crisp. I called back and told whoever answered the phone the situation...nothing was done to fix the problem. I have been in there before and ordered take out and I have...stood at the bar waiting for my order. Taso and his sidekick Sabrina remind me of Amy's Baking Company: Amy and Samy who take no responsibility and blame the customers...its actually quite funny...Theres a reason Tasos is number 14th on the list....when Carrabbas and Country Pizza Inn rank higher, thats a problem.More

I ordered take out, due to Covid 19. After placing my order, I was asked to pick up in 30 minutes. When I arrived, I was the 7th car waiting for food. My food was delivered to my car 30 minutes after I arrived. So,...the garlic bread was cold and the cheese on top was far too thick to be enjoyed. The spaghetti was plentiful, but there could have been more sauce on it. The side salad was rather small.More

So here we are visiting a new part of Florida. The wife wanted to see some furniture. I asked a salesman for a restaurant recommendation. So I decided to try. A beautiful little restaurant. Excellent friendly courteous service staff. We were seated and looked over...the menu. Well I ordered my usual when trying a new Italian restaurant. A chicken parmigiana with spaghetti. My wife had clams and spaghetti. We were not disappointed in our dinners. We found both very flavorful. Our waiter was attentive. It was very good that it is on my list to go back again when we are local in the area.More
