Super excited to go to Taso Italian! My wife and I had heard GREAT reviews about it. However, we were super let down. We came in on December 1st, at around 7PM. We were delighted to walk in and get a table right away! Super...awesome! We were sat and then it started. The waiter that we had (a gentleman with a bald head and beard, he never gave us his name) was the worst I have experienced.... ever. First, no one came to our table for almost 20 minutes while we sat there. The hostess actually came to our table with waters, to let us know the waiter would be with us soon. He did come over shortly after that, but just to say, he would be right with us. Now, lets wait another 5 - 10 minutes for his return. He came to the table, again, no name, & asked what we would be drinking. Mind you, we had never been to Taso before, so it would have been cool to maybe get an idea of what was good, or anything, nothing. He asked what we wanted to drink and my wife ordered an espresso martini. He said he would have to go to the bar to see if they could make it.... understood. Then I ordered a hot potato martini (it is a grey goose martini with Turkish olives. Seems like a dirty martini) He did not know what the martini was, probably should be re-trained on the drink menu. Then he tried to get away and we stopped him so we could order some bruschetta. He took that order and lit our candle. After he left, another table was sat behind us. That waiter was very personably (not our waiter) and he was chatting with the couple and got their drinks out to them very quickly. Once we saw that happen, we realized this was going to be a train wreck, so we left. Shoot, we went to another restaurant and ate and I would bet the waiter didn't even know we left for quite awhile. Their service was absolutely terrible and that stinks because I really wanted to try their steak and my wife was really excited to try something new. Didn't even get to eat and wasted time. Seems like maybe you need to be a celebrity (like Jon Bon Jovi) in order to get some good service. We may go back, definitely would avoid that waiter 100% but it surely won't be for awhile. Stinks when you are excited for something and then let down.More

We all ordered Lasagna and it was not what you would expect in an Italian restaurant. Not a lot of flavor. My friend asked for another roll and some parmesan cheese and never got either. Two of us ordered house wine which was on the...menu for $6.20, however when the bill came, we were charged $8.00. When I asked the waiter, he said the prices increased because of Covid but they hadn't had a chance to get new menus. I told him I would pay the advertised price and he adjusted both of our bills. Not a good experience and I will not go back.More

I have been here many times over past two years. This time they have stopped making pizza and sandwiches. But the chicken parm and the marsala was very good. So when I want a sit down Italian meal this is where I go.

First time trying Taso and they didnt disappoint . Great food . Me and my GF split had the Calamari Appetizer and then split the Chicken Parm dinner which was plenty for 2 people . Had the dream cream chocolate cake for dessert . Taso...came by a few times and offered us a free after dinner drink but we were stuffed . Love the atmosphere and the ambiance of the restaurant . We will be back againMore

The service, Dom. Was friendly and helpful. The Food, parmesan chicken was good, light tomato sauce and just enough cheese, not dense or gummy. And the marsala was just terrific, the best ever. Cordial atmosphere, families, couples, warm and welcoming.

This place was a horrible disappointment.! We were so thankful that only 3 of us went for a tasteless over charged dinner. Oh, there is an extra charge if you want a salad that was not their bagged/Publix choice! Add to this the extra, extra...small rolls. One each and an extra charge for more rolls! Wow!!! Well, the upside is that we were checking the place out for a future date with about 20 of us and well, this will not be a place for us! Not to worry! We will not be back and if anyone has any sense they will not be eating there either!!!!More

My wife and I visited Taso Italiano recently for our weekly date night. Both the Chicken and Veal Parm were outstanding, the best we have had in the area. The House Chianti was exquisite. More date nights here to follow! Scott & Diane

First time here a few weeks ago. I ordered pasta with meatballs....very good. Was surprised to get 3 meatballs, and they were very good. Bread was very good but I think if you want more there is an extra charge. Prices were a 'little' high...$17.00...for what I got but then store prices have gone up a lot too. One BIG complaint...the music. I do not want to come to a nice Italian restaurant that has all the ambiance and then have to listen to 50's music. Please, please change it to some nice relaxing Italian music...give us the full ambiance we want. Will definitely return but because of price it won't be an every week dine out place we'll go. Would be nice if they offered coupons once in awhile too...maybe they do ?More

I ordered a large salad for dinner, the wrong thing to do. I had a large salad with chicken. The cost was $22. Lettuce, a couple slices of thinonion, two wedges of tomato and 4 olives. I usually cannot finish but it was small enough...I did. Not worth the price. I could have had a pasta meal with chicken and a salad for way less. Chicken parmigiana and a salad for far less. I guess I have to watch what I order. My husband had mussels and 5 didn’t open. He sent them back and got 4 in return. We are watching what eat so we are eating light. I had a glass of wine and he had water. The total was $51 plus $10 tip. You will not see me again. I will not recommend Taos to friends. I know food went up, but not that much. I will stay away.More

I called to make a reservation, they said no, just come in. When we got there, the owner asked if we had a reservation and said we should have made one but he would seat us and serve us. He said it would take a...little while. We were ok with that. The waitress was very slow and did not know anything. I asked how much came on a plate and she said that it was just a little smaller portion of each item then on a regular order. I told her I did not want it if it only had one of each item. I even told the owner and he told me at was a lot of food. I believe this was the first italian restaurant I ever left from hungry. He argued with me about it and had the waitress come tell me it was her fault. If I had not specifically asked and said I would order something else if it was not more, I could say I was to blame but I asked. The food was pretty good but very small portions. I was very disappointed after driving 50 minutes to it. Even the pizza was burnt. Argentos is about the same distance from our house and has larger portions and better service.More

Taso Italiano......It's Spectacular! Fine food communicates flawlessly. In any language. Each luscious bite a verb, building to an expression of complete satisfaction. As I strolled across the Piazza del Little Strada (Plaza on Little Road) towards Taso Italiano, hunger as my prevailing noun, I knew...not what fooditude lay ahead. Gabby greeted me, then seated me. Just me. Ahhhhh! Breathe in, the aromas of Italy. Breath out, tempting, but I voiced no protagonist soliloquy in this one character play... I let the ambiance reveal its secrets as it may. Gabby's left handed guidance put me in my right mind, as only a fellow left hander could avow. LOL With that familiar index finger menu scroll, I hovered digitally over several possible selections. I let my mind's palate mentally meld the ingredients listed to comprehend the chef's blend. After quite a bit of tactile tasting, I settled on a venerable favorite, Veal Parmigiana. My gaze raised as I spotted Gabby approaching, in a two hands high holding plates pose. Delivering my menu decisions with a flavorful flair, she then left me to begin my mangia journey with her version of a Buon Appetito! Eyeing the two plates before me, I dug into the pasta portion for my first Taso Italiano taste test. That first bite at a new find is one of those 'drum-roll' moments. Waiting, anticipation building, as the savory bouquet melts in your mouth. I was rewarded with a perfect al dente spaghetti response. The clinging marinara produced a wonderfully fresh tomatoey acidic bounce that carried the spices bang. Pure and simple. Moving on to the veal parm, I cut into the pounded flat portion, dragging it through a cheesy marinara mound before raising it to my lips. The aromas of Italy rose to my nose in steamy whiffs. Love at first bite. As I looked around at the happy diners, I knew. This place is the real deal. Then I met the real deal. The man with his name in print and his reputation at stake, was checking in on his culinary customers. I just had to let him know I was a first-timer and I loved his cuisine. It was a treat to meet Taso. Speaking of 'stake', no, STEAK. I spied a few luxurious rib-eyes delivered to a few wide-eyed guys. The steaks looked quite tempting! (At a pasta joint!) Taso told me about that tender faire and I pronounced I'll be back, prepare mine med rare! Everything about my premier visit to Taso Italiano was superb! The place has the pulse of the piazza, the aroma of Roma and the people that make you smile. È spettacolare!More
