The food is great and well presented. Large choice of wine. Keep a little space for desserts. Service excellent. Good location (only few kms from Parma), plenty of parking space. Not cheap but definitely worth it!

Had lunch at Al Vedel today. We had great food. With an over 200 year history of producing charcuterie their charcuterie platters were excellent. Do leave capacity for desert. It is divine. An experience to remember.

Enrico and his mother Anna are wonderful hosts at Al Vedel, a high-end family restaurant but with good value for money. Their family have produced culatello and salumi for five generations and their tasting plates are a great way to enjoy their produce. Did I mention they have a wine list of 1500 labels from local wineries and from around... More

The food was great! The pumpkin soup was especially delicious! The service was good. The tour of the Charcuterie farm was very interesting. Meats are wrapped in pig bladder and aged with mold spores!!! Mold to their "cutella" is like yeast to bread.

Wonderful experience. Excellent food, insane wine list (almost 1600 wines), kind service, and a secret treat: their Culatello ham caveau. This restaurant is a great excuse to treat yourself, no matter why. The food is great and well presented, with genuine flavours and sexy looks. Just order the whole menu, ideally with friends/family, so you can try everything. I recommend... More

This is a well hidden treasure and only my obsession with reviewing prevents me from keeping shut about it. No, but this is seriously good. Finishing of with a guided tour in the ham store with the fragrance of many hundred culatello in production was exceptional. This is reason to travel

This restaurant is delicious. Colorno is a small town that's hard to get to if you don't have a car, but it's accessible by bus. Al Vedel is upscale, but you wouldn't know it by just the location. It's a very nice surprise. I visited here June of 2015 but am new to Trip advisor so I'm reviewing it now.

I read about this place in a magazine so was keen to eat there on our trip around Northern Italy. The service was excellent, the food was outstanding and the recommend wines were superb. We also enjoyed the interesting tour of the cellar where their charcuterie is stored. It will be difficult to find without a car but it is... More

Al Vedel is an upscale restaurant which is part of Padere Cadassa, a prosciutto producer in Colorno which is about 20 KM north of Parma. You can have a nice meal here and take a tour of the aging cellars. We were there on a Saturday for lunch and the place was quite full. It is big, and is apparently... More
