My first visit to the Little Gloster was a couple of years ago for lunch in the summer and I fell in love with it. The menu was perfect for a lunch, beautifully cooked and presented, good value and the staff were lovely. The decor is really nicely done and a pleasure to be in. I left looking forward to... More

We celebrated my 50th Birthday at the Little Gloster and the food and service was superb. There was 11 of us in our party, 8 adults and 3 children and everyone including the children commented on how good the food was. I had the mature aged steak, which was probably the best fillet steak I have ever eaten. I would... More

We booked this restaurant as it was for my brothers 50th and my family were over on the Island and staying walking distance to here. As we were a party of 11 they put us in a separate area from the main restaurant directly in front of the open kitchen. A great position. The service by the young ladies was... More

Quality breakfast in a beautiful setting Spectacular views across the western Solent, very friendly staff. Lovely food and exceedingly well presented. Tea served in china cups (a must for flavour and keeping it hot). Priced about right for the menu selection. Not a greasy spoon price but not expensive either. Papers to read and a no rush relaxed feeling. Well... More

Stumbled across here we are staying a few doors down in the tiny chalets and popped in here for breakfast before checking into our accommodation. Lovely breakfast slightly on the pricey side but was worth it!

A real IOW gem. Ahead of the rest in terms of foo quality, tastes, textures etc etc. Whenever we are back on the island it's our go-to restaurant. It could be pretentious but it's really not, and that's one of the things we love the most about The Little Gloster.

I last visited here during the late summer. Prior to this I had been a relatively frequent visitor. I have no complaints regarding the food which was excellent. However, I found the staff surly, slow and almost rude. I requested the bread basket and condiments only to be given a "look" of resentment. We arrived just after 1330 and were... More

We were 5 friends for lunch on a Saturday just before Christmas. The restaurant appeared to be rather empty. Inspite of this the waitresses were not friendly and didn't seem interested in us.Not one smile from them. The head of the bar was kindly when we left. The amount of butter offered with the bread was pathetic. The pheasant dish was... More
