he cafe offers a very nice breakfast with coffee, juice, home-made bread, eggs and much more. The owner and staff was very welcoming and informed us about events in the town. The town is a perfect starting point for ski-tours and the cafe is very nice to hang out afterwards.

ida made my days at our visit in olafsfjordur. We were backcountryskiing - a coffee and one of the delicious cakes were a must afterwards / we were a group of about 10. We enjoyed great dinner most of evenings.

This is a great restaurant, we called in for lunch and it was superb. Gorgeous food homemade and freshly cooked. We had soup followed by vegetable frittata with salad and potato wedges. We couldn't decide on which cake to have so we had a slice of everything. The meal plus coffee was £40 which is very reasonable her. The cafe... More

Love this place, I live in Ólafsfjörður and this place made life richer. Wonderful brunch on Sundays, trip for icecream with the grandkids, lunch during weekdays, coffee or tea with cakes in the afternoon. The host Ida often makes special dishes for me and other guests based on what she has and what I want. Thursday nights is knitting night,... More

We had been driving and stopped for coffee. But the cakes were so tempting. It turns out that they were baked by someone who works at the café. A delicious appearing lunch buffet was also available although we did not partake of that. It can be really hard to find quality food on the road in Iceland, and this was... More

Description
Kaffi Klara is a very cozy and welcoming coffiehouse/bistro. It is a family buisniss. We focus on working with local food, we make most of the food from scratch, we bake the bread and the cakes at the coffiehouse and we buy most of our ingredients in our local community. We make open sandwiches, soup, cakes, and we also arrange dinners for groups but it is necessary to order in advance. We don't have a menu card but we cook after order. Our style is to cook good and tasty food but in homy surroundings.
