We have been patronising La Belle Auberge for close to 15 years and in that time little has changed, and that includes the waitresses. I can remember only one poor meal when we were pushed into a hot annex. The food is good French country cooking. The basic E13 French weekday lunch menu is extraordinarily good value. (They no longer... More

Our party of 4 all ate from the €27 menu which includes 3 courses and a dessert. The ladies opted for only 3 courses including dessert for €21. Very good cuisine. Service was very pleasant but a little slow as the 2 waitresses had to serve the packed restaurant. But the food was well worth waiting for, all dishes very... More

We last ate here about 15 years ago, but nothing had changed ... Good value, country cooking. Simple children's menu too.

Great place to impress friends and family with terrific (yet affordable) French country dining. During the summers, outdoor dining on the patio is an experience not to be missed. Food and presentation is consistently outstanding. Portions are generous, good value. Always busy so reserve in advance.

This restaurant was a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered. We dined in this restaurant during a stopover in Bearn. The food was awesome and in large quantities. Atmosphere is homely

Live quite close but only manage to go about four times a year. We save it for special occasions and when friends visit. Superb 5 course set lunch, always garbure, then a starter followed by salad and a delicious generous main course. But their piece de resistance are the desserts. All divine, priced at 5€ to 6€ but included in... More

A return visit and we found that the 26 euro, 4 course menu was as generous as ever. This remains one of the best restaurants for many miles around. How do they do it for the price?

We were in a part of 4. Good welcome and restaurant obviously very popular as it was literally heaving! We were there for dinner I thought the food was just ok - really nothing special and not meeting my expectations. We had the menu of the day at 20€. Maybe the Belle Auberge lacks atmosphere in its lay out -... More

We used to come here a lot. It's a bit tucked away (draw straws for the poor soul who has to drive) in the countryside, and featured a cavernous and rather dour dining room with grim paintings and those large brown wardrobes that unexpectedly garnish many provincial French restaurants. But the food was good and plentiful and it was pretty... More

Rural delight go of the beaten track to be surprised by the quality of the service and food. Try the Grand Mariner Soflette and the Cassoulet.
