We live a stones throw away. Pub recently refurbished but the frustrating thing is, that the manager / management need to address the kitchen, standard of food and efficiency of waiting staff, all of which are SERIOUSLY below par. Could never get the staffs attention to place an order. When I was asked how I would like my (very simple)... More

Just had a group gathering in the garden of the Marlborough - Wow! What a wonderful place! We had 3 dogs between in the party and were given a fab table in partial shade at the edge of the beautiful garden. Everything was very impressive - food, drink, and service. I don't live in Richmond - but if I did... More

Obviously very popular locally but with the capacity to seat everyone in its massive beer garden on a summers evening. Drinks service was a little slow, but the ambience and food were very good for a trendy pub destination. I will go back for sure.

We had been to this pub many times but this time was the first after the decoration. The beer garden is outstanding. A very relaxed atmosphere with plants everywhere. The only negative thing we noticed is that menu and prices have changed, perhaps not for the better.

Enjoyed our local pre-renovation and really like what they did with the outdoors except for he noise factor from families and events. That's great for business but takes away from a quieter atmosphere pre- renovation. It is also header to get a table partly because the phone is infrequently answered (staff shortages?) and partly because it is somewhat disorganized. The... More

My wife, daughter and I decided following the refurbishment that we would give this pub another chance. The improvements are good as it is a stylish venue with a lot of space particularly in the garden for the children (not a place for a quiet drink!). The service was reasonable which is a vast improvement on before, the food was... More

Good location and a nice indoor space with cozy, comfortable sofa sitting areas as well as tables and chairs for serious dining. There is also an outdoor sitting area which is under cover and heated in the winter making it suitable for use most of the year. There are also sofas out there making it a comfortable place to hang... More

A family group of six with a two year old had lunch there on May Bank Holiday Monday. Excellent cooked meal, very good friendly service. Very good catering for a toddler & plenty of games equipment to entertain her in their garden before & after lunch. Would highly recommend a visit.

Eaten here twice in recent months. Food nicely presented but small portions for amount charged. We don't like big plates of food but £16 for a charcuterie sharing board ( 4 slices ham, 2 small slices cheese, a small bowl of pickles & 2 slices of toast) feels excessive. Likewise I ordered a veggie salad as a main course and... More
