Visited here with my partner and two children and I must say that this is a little gem. The new tenants Mandy and Stewart are very welcoming and told us that they have just started to serve food. Unfortunately we were only popping in for a drink but one of the locals pointed out that the food was excellent especially... More

Welcoming owner who is very enthusiastic about ales and the pub. We will definitely be returning as we already feel like a regular after only one night in the pub..

Lovely pub, with welcoming owners . A choice of bars to enjoy the excellently kept ales. Although no food available in the pub, the owners kindly directed us to a local chip shop which we took back to the pub and enjoyed along with our ales. All in all a very nice place to spend a few hours of an... More

I went there for my mums wedding and the drinks were nice, the food was delicious. The staff were friendly and excellent customer service. The prices were of a reasonable amount to pay.

Excellent beer and ambience, with choice of three good bitters. Parking on road, couple of bars and beer garden. Food not served but you are welcome to take your own food in to consume on the premises.

Whilst visiting friends in Bodmin, the plans for some sightseeing in Cornwall were drowned in a four day long spell of heavy rain and mist. The back-up plan turned out to be a discovery of some of the local pubs in Bodmin itself. On Higher Bore street we chose the Masons Arms and had a few pints of ale. I... More

My partner and I first visited the Mason's Arms around New Year 2014/5, and it had everything I look for in a pub - friendly but not overbearing management and staff, comfortable surroundings, interesting real ales and a roaring fire (complete with an extremely warm and happy cat). We visited again last weekend - I unfortunately don't live locally -... More

This pub no longer does food but don't let that put you off. What it does do is provide just about the best welcome in Bodmin. Couple that with great beer at sensible prices and what more could you want? Don't forget to check out the charity calendar and see who you recognise! Just wish it was walking distance from... More
