Set in the woods this is a delightful place to hace afternoon tea. Food and service was good. There is a childrens playground and lovely country walk if one wants to burn off calories after the scones...

Lovely little café tucked away in the woods - really scrummy cakes & cream teas and although we didn't sample them the sandwiches looked amazing too. Toys & books box to keep the little ones occupied - really nice family atmosphere, friendly service and considering how busy they were we didn't have too long to wait. Would like to go... More

This is a perfect place for a good walk and lunch. It's in the woods a short walk from the car park. Dog friendly and all weather. If I have one small problem it's now getting expensive. 2 coffees and cake nearly £12.00.

Have visited this cafe numerous times. Very cosy and a nice friendly atmosphere. Would be great if they sold fruit in addition to all the lovely cakes though as Im always left wanting a healthy snack after cycling there.

We visited the café in at the beginning of September after reading good reviews about the cream teas. We hadn't had one during our week in Devon and Cornwall so decided to drop in here on our way back to our holiday rental after a day out. We weren't familiar with the woods and were a bit unsure if we... More

I've sampled the soup, sandwiches, cream tea, coffees and cake from here...all were delicious! Great to stop off for a refreshment after a walk!

Went here with my wife after walking around the woods with the dogs. Excellent place to walk the dogs and an excellent place to have a cup of coffee and the carrot cake is to die for

The food here is amazing! me and my partner both had the cheese and chutney sandwich with a soup, which was delicious! we also had some drinks and a sausage roll, all in all this came to about £30!! which i thought was very expensive, especially the drinks that are £1.85 for a can of lemonade! i just wish they... Big waste of time and money. The sausage roll, soup and salad sounded like a good option, how I was wrong! The sausage roll was microwaved to within an inch of its life, with soggy pastry and dry crumbly meat inside. And salad?? Just half dressed leaves, and a small cup of soup. The others had sandwiches for 5.95 with... More

What a beautiful place to visit. Cardinham woods is brilliant and free bar the car park but the £3 for a full day is nothing. After a lovely stroll around the shortest trail 3km My children and I wanted something to fill a hole. The cafe offers a good range of food asnd refreshments but you will have to pay... More

Woods Cafe is a beautiful cottage cafe in the middle of Cardinham Woods. Open all year round, we serve warming home-made stews and soups in the winter and doorstop sandwiches with an ever changing specials menu throughout the summer. The cream teas are fantastic and the cakes are always fresh. We try to use local produce and suppliers where possible.
