We called into the Kirkstyle a few times in 2015. In June of 2016 we returned. It continues to provide excellent food (easily the best in the area), the staff are very friendly and friendly, and the layout of the bar and dining area is such that you very quickly find yourself chatting to locals or fellow travellers.

On holiday and calls in for a quick lunch, pub looks a bit dowdy and dark . Had tomato soup very tasty - more like a broth and was served with good warm crusty roll .No problems on the food but did'nt feel we were made particularly welcome. If in area again don't think we would call again.

We used this pub quite a few times during our weeks holiday. Every visit was a real treat with friendly service and top rate food. A vast selection on the menu and I would like to mention the Lamb dish as being one of the best I have tasted. The views from the pub are spectacular and is a huge... More

A small inn in a wonderful setting. The service was quick and the food was excellent. We didn't book a table but it is probably wise to do so during weekends or over the summer holiday period. Highly recommended and we are returning later in the week!

We found this little gem a few years ago and just keep coming back. Another visit and the food just seems to get better. Good choice of menu with several "specials of the day". Excellent quality, seasonal, local produce. If you are local or a visitor in the area you should not miss out on this experience.

Four of us called in for lunch after ringing ahead to discuss food allergies. Julie the chef was very knowledgeable and suggested GF fish and chips for my wife, which she thoroughly enjoyed. I had a tasty ploughmans lunch with ham and cheese. Two well kept cask ales. We would return if local.

We are starting to become regular visitors to the Kirkstyle since buying our holiday home near by. It's a lovely place, the staff and regular customers are so friendly and welcoming and the food is excellent. There's usually a pie of the week which is often somthing a little different from what you'd usually see such as haggis and pheasant... More

We visited this pub tonight to celebrate our wedding anniversary with family. We all had starters and mains, but only 3 of us had a pudding. All I can say is, its fabulous food which I would highly recommend. Very friendly staff and welcoming. Also the view from the front of the pub will take some beating anywhere in the... More
