Having not been here for some months, we decided to have a late breakfast bringing our 17 month old with us. As he has allergies/intolerances I asked to see their allergen list which was met with a very blank look, I explained to the young man why I needed to look at it but this did not change his blank... Went on a weekday at 1.30, all the other cafes in Mac were busy and amuse was empty. Been coming here years and service can sometimes be a bit slow depending who is on but it's really gone down hill. Limited menu choice, slow service and no atmosphere, such a shame as used to be lovely.

I visited on the 13th August 2016. Food was overpriced and 'chunky chips' were frozen bagged chips for £3 a bowl! The waiters were very unhelpful, the chips had the black charcoal on that you get from a fryer, he assured me this was pepper, it didn't look or taste like any pepper I had ever seen and the menu... We have visited Amuse regularly on Saturdays for some years. However they clearly are a mess on Sundays. I took a group of 5 there on Treacle Sunday for lunch. The order took nearly an hour to appear, and they brought food for 2 people. Then later came back with a (wrong sandwich for a third person, and took it... More

Pleasant staff, good food, nice surroundings. Always come here for breakfast on a Saturday or Sunday. Have never been disappointed.

Been to a lot of the cafes in Macc and this is becoming one of the best. The new menu looks great and everything we ordered was lovely. New chef is obviously doing good work. Service was also attentive.

Been here a few times, sometimes for food, sometimes just for a drink. Their burger is amazing! And their sandwiches are good. The service is always excellent, and not too expensive :)

Stopped here for a quick breakfast one weekday morning. We were given the menu but couldn't actually see any breakfast-specific items on there. We were about to leave when we overheard a lady ordering some toast so we ordered the same. Really good thick slices of toast with lots of butter and jam with nice coffee. Quite expensive for just... I've been here a number of times over the past few months. The food is delicious, and I've always had a nice time when I've been. However, I wouldn't recommend going if you are on a tight schedule. I've been in my lunch a few times and waiting to get served seems to take time, the food takes a long... More

We had lunch here. There is a small but varied menu with daily specials and healthy options. We had one of the healthy options- cottage pie with root vegetables as a topping instead of the traditional potato: it was excellent. We also had the burgher which again was lovely. Everything is well presented and a little creative and inventive. Service... More

We're a friendly independent faily run business. Our food is homemade, wholesome & 'ethical'. We make dishes to order and can tell you exactly what's in them. Wake up with our breakfasts like 'French toast with bacon' or a good old full English with local sausages and bacon. Drop in for coffee & homemade cakes like 'lemon drizzle' and 'rocky road'. Fill up at lunch or tea time with homemade soups, salads, sandwiches & wholesome hot dishes. We serve wine by the glass and bottle; locally brewed beer; milkshakes amde with Cheshire ice cream and smoothies made from real fruit. The cafe can be hired in the evening for private parties
