Classic lovely English pub full of charm. The make the pies themselves and they are great, as was the other food we have. On a rare sunny day the beer garden is worth a visit.

We went for the first time for our friend's Christening Party and thought it was a wonderful. Lovely traditional décor and atmosphere. Food was lovely. Had a brilliant decking area and plenty of outdoor seating. The one thing I could criticise is the play area (although my daughter did have hours of fun) is that the ground surrounding it consists... We called into the robin hood in rainow and were made to feel very welcome even with our dog. The food was gorgeous. Apparently the usual chef was off but if the stand in chef was anything to go by the full time chef has serious competition. The portions were huge and home cooked and really tasty, we went for... Came for some food and a couple of drinks after work with colleagues. Could not fault the location or the appearance of the pub, however the food was very basic and tasted like it was from Iceland frozen foods. Outdoor seating area is lovely, would definitely recommend going for a drink there. Decent selection of cask ales which is always... More

Unfortunately, the room where we stayed was small, the double bed was cramped, the staircase to get to the room on the upper floor was narrow and steep. On arrival, even though the booking confirmation listed full English breakfast as included in the tariff, the proprietor told me that he usually only does a Continental breakfast on Monday mornings. However,... More

Do you know how hard publicans work at village pubs in fact we had been up since 7.00am cooking for B& B guests and cleaning. We open for our customers from 9.00am, which not many pubs do. We are trying our best to make this a pub that everyone can enjoy. We have also been fighting along battle to keep... More

Visited during a walk out with friends. My wife and I had the steak and ale pie and it was lovely. Portion size was very generous too. Our friends had the oatcakes and they were very complimentary about them. Will definitely be visiting again soon.
