How nice is it to find a micro-brewer who produces good quality, naturally conditioned, ales and manages to sell them, bottled, in exactly the same condition. Nice, pint, nice pub with basic pub fare and a lovely patio overlooking the cricket ground. Couldn't be nicer on a summers evening.

Love, love, love this place. We live in Bollington and this is our favourite pub. The Vale has it all - its own brewery with many award winning pints, a cosy atmosphere inside, the best beer garden in Bollington with a great view of the Rec and a cricket match if you're lucky, and tasty, freshly cooked reasonably priced pub... The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. Great service. Dog friendly. Cozy atmosphere. All I would say is a little small. Overall a brilliant pub for all people

Had an excellent lunch, fab home cooked food, using local produce. The steak pies and steak and kidney puddings we had were fantastic. Excellent beers on offer. Great friendly staff. Quick service considering it was so busy. Excellent value for money, will be returning soon.

Been here several times and chomped through the menu over the years. Apart from the food, the big attraction is the on-site brewery. There's a good selection of home brewed ales, all full of flavour. Worth a try for starters is the Bollington Best bitter. The bar staff came and served a second round at the table. However, back to... More

We had lunch this week for the first time since the renovation. Nice rustic interior and good food (big portions). The whole system of serving is focused on the business rather than the customer. We were told 'no tab if going outside to lunch on the benches'. Fully understand that but the delivery of that instruction was cool. The customer... More

What not to like. Great home brewed beer. Good and friendly staff, very pleasant interior, overlooking a cricket ground, and plenty of local works. Shared the nachos...a meal in its own right with loads of chilli. Highly recommended.

Visited after a long walk and had a welcome craft ale and lunch. Very good food and a good range of real beer. Ate in the sunny garden just along the road. Lovely.

We had another great night at the Vale-worth reserving a table. I had the child's portion of the fish & chips- enough for me!!! Specials board had a wide variety of dishes that supplemented the main menu & there is plenty of choice for vegetarians. Wine, beer & lager good standard (with the opportunity to taste prior to ordering if... More
