We heard from friends a new Landlord was producing some amazing food so we decided to give it a try and we were by no means disappointed. This is a really quirky old fashioned pub with views to die for. We were met by very cheery staff and shown to our table. We all picked the rib of beef Sunday... More

Such a wonderful location with terrific views. It was a cold dark night when we went but the warm fire and friendly reception warmed us through in no time. Food was top quality not to mention the wine and ale. Definitely go back here again.

A few of us went on Sunday for a long walk followed by wine and food at the hanging gate. The fires were roaring and the views, food and staff were all amazing. We will be back to watch the fireworks on bonfire night as I can imagine you see thousands from there. Thanks for a lovely lunch.

Sunday lunch was really nice. The lamb was very good and the beef was my wife said. It wasn't expensive and I hope it thrives. Great place.

Contrary to their web site it was not open lunch time Tues 13/9 Most frustrating as a lengthy walk had preceded this disappointment

This pub has to have one the best views from a restaurant window in the land, the place is packed with lots world charm in it's tiny opening bar. There is a fine selection of real ales in great condition plus pleasant service from the young couple behind the bar. We were here for Sunday lunch which was excellent some... More

We visited the inn on an off chance whilst touting the peaks and Macc Forest. We turned up on spec and experienced wonderful customer service. The inn advertises itself along with a large number as being dog friendly. Well these guys really are. From the bowl of fresh water in the bar to the provision of a snug room for... More
