GCSE treat night for myself and the mini teen. If you've not been to The Boathouse, this is a must before the doors shut. Wow, wow, wow! The Vegetarian Tasting Menu went down a storm, totally unique. I opted for the Tasting menu parred with wines, it was refreshing that our courses were so similar and made for a great... More

Could not fault it... everything was perfect. Great food beautifully prepared. Not too big a venue.. quite intimate. More than I usually spend but did not regret a penny.

Booked at short notice on a Friday night on spec and we were not disappointed. We opted for the 3 course for £35.00 which isn't cheap but it was surprisingly good. Chowder and halibut starter, Hake and Eel mains, Ganache and strawberries to follow. We sampled some thin Irish gin and enjoyed our Picpoul De Pinet. Being tourists we are... More

Saddened to read in today's Belfast Telegraph that this fine establishment is to close in October to give Joery a break.. here's hoping he will find it in his heart to return with batteries recharged

This was an amazing experience of the finest food. It was a taster menu with lobster salad starter, and plenty of other fish with choices for the mains of lamb or hake cooked magnificently probably one of the nicest meals I will ever experience, such attention to detail. It was served with the finest wines from around the world by... More

For those that have been to the boathouse before you know it is expensive but you are going to get good food. We went to celebrate a birthday and had the seven course tasting menu. All of the food was excellently presented and in the main well cooked but we both found most of the courses lacking in flavour and... More

Everything is meticulously made and a true food tasting experience. There is a food-wine pairing menu or you can pair it yourself. Service was wonderful - attentive and engaging when needed, and giving you time and space to enjoy your meal in peace when that is what you want. Cannot recommend more highly!

Recommend that you book this restaurant in advance as it has limited capacity. Very pleasant staff and attentive. The wines are quite expensive but the food is excellent. I had the lobster starter and was pleasantly surprised by the portion. My one complaint is that the pricing on the menu is confusing as we only wanted two courses and this... More
