Sunday lunch at the Midland was a real treat - rare roast beef, perfectly cooked vegetable, an eclectic range of starters. Seated in the covered sun terrace overlooking the sea with the sun pouring through the windows was a rare winter treat. Staff couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful. But the best thing of all? This place is a... More

We were recommended by a local person to have lunch here. What a beautiful and well cared for hotel,we are very drawn to the style of the 30s,so it was so lovely to see this grand building at the end of the promenade, and the interior even more pleasing, what an absolute gem and with northern friendliness too! We enjoyed a very... More

We actually visited in November 2014, so I may have already reviewed! The afternoon tea was lovely, we had one between two of us and just paid for an extra drink. Plenty to eat for two people (females) I guess it wouldn't be for anyone with a good appetite I do think it is way overpriced though for what you... More

Went here for afternoon tea as it was my birthday treat. It was delicious and everything of the highest quality. We sat in the sunny window overlooking Morcambe bay and could see the snow covered fells of the Lake District in the distance. We had the gin cocktail too. Everything was beautifully served and although expensive was well worth the... More

We went for a light lunch on the 26th November , the views were excellent on a stunning crisp autumn day. My partner and I had soup and a gorgeous ham Sandwich which I must say was mouth watering and very well presented. The ambiance was lovely with customers of all ages enjoying the menu on offer. The service was... More

Enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea with views of the sea. The food was fantastic served with vintage plates and tea cups. There was a very good choice of teas and good selection of sandwiches and cakes. The staff were very nice and friendly. The hotel is a beautiful Art Deco building with many deco features especially the staircase.

I came with a work group for a colleagues leaving party. We paid £15 for an 'afternoon tea' in the evening. I was really looking forward to it after being for very similar prices afternoon teas in the Lake District. However, I, along with others attending, were extremely disappointed. The food was put out as a buffet rather than being... More

I came with a party for afternoon tea but in the early evening and what an absolute disappointment I have lived in this area all my life and was so looking forward to this event as I had never been before but I am sorry to say that I will not be returning and I would not recommend to anyone....
