We ate at the bar at The Midland Hotel one Sunday afternoon. The view is great and the outside terrace area is great. We had the Gin flight which is 3 gins and tonics for £15 and a beer which were good. We placed a food order at the same time and then waited. The drinks took 15mins to come... More

A fairly pleasant bar in a rather interesting 1930s hotel right on the seafront. We had a couple of cocktails which were fine, and then some pints which were also fine. Overall I'd say the experience was average.

We have come here for drinks on a few occasions, lovely deco and friendly staff but it seems to take them longer than it should to prepare cocktails, waits of up to 10 minutes at times from ordering it? This seems excessive to me personally but they were nice.

We had the hot chicken sandwich with coleslaw and chunky chips as a extra. The chicken was warm and cold in places. Just didn't like the temperature of it when being pregnant. We sent it back and they heated it back up wasn't overly impressed for the price it was £9.50 and the chips were a extra £3.00 and you... More

We went for a coffee and drinks. The coffees were fine but we were surprised to find although Guinness was on tap, they would only serve a pint! We were going to have lunch but thought it was rather prices. The staff were very friendly and the hotel foyer lovely if smaller than it looked on Poirot.

This bar is in the Midland Hotel but you don't have to be staying here to enjoy a drink. The centre piece bar has a unique chandelier made up of what looks like opaque cylindrical tubes hanging down. Everything in this bar area is circular. There are small cosy snugs just off the bar. The toilets are via a circular... More

I took my mum, who lives locally for morning coffee in between appointments and I was shocked!! Firstly I do apprecite that this was the Monday morning following the Vintage weekend event but that shouldn't have made an ounce of difference plus this was around 11.15am!! I asked a staff member at the long bar if they did morning coffee... More

Went with friend for cocktails. The were delicious. Lots to choose from and well presented. The food looked good also but I didn't try but will next time. Looked like plenty of sea food on the menu. Spoke to some people on the next table who enjoyed the food.
