Like many people I don't take a lot of time during the week for breakfast but on Saturdays I like to indulge myself. The breakfast menu here is excellent. The scrambled egg on toast with sun dried tomato and avocado is delicious whether with bacon or smoked salmon, as is the full breakfast. Good quality produce is the secret and... More

Visited with my Husband & 4 year old daughter. Food was so good and they accommodated our daughter by offering an additional side apart from garlic bread or chips. The pudding are also amazing! The little farm shop is good to have a little look around. Definitely worth the trip and the pretty surroundings.

My husband and I go to the Bothy most weekends. We have been customers for years and we cannot fault the Bothy for its fantastic home cooked, local produce food. It's so popular that sometimes you have to wait maybe 10 minutes for a seat, but the well trained staff are on the ball when it comes to putting the... More

We took out son there yesterday, the staff were extremely friendly and gave us good seating. The food was so tasty. I had the fish plate which was delicious. The boys had the combo which they enjoyed very much. It was a very pleasant experience and would highly recommend a visit there.

We met up with some family who recommended this place. Really good tea and coffee plus breakfast rolls/cakes. Some of our party really liked the 2 small scones. They gave us a nice table with a view of the Wallace Monument over the fields. There is also a nice farm shop with some cards and small gifts.

I have visited this restaurant on several occasions whilst visiting the area and it never fails to deliver an excellent dining experience. Attentive staff, efficient service and very enjoyable food presented well at a reasonable price. The menu varies with daily specials and they are more than happy to serve smaller portions for those with a small appetite or just... More

Attended the Open Day when Coffee Bothy's suppliers take a stall each in a marquee to display their wares and encourage 'tastings' - a great idea! Also a couple of things outside to keep the wee ones from getting bored. This is always a good place to eat - and shop - and the quality is excellent. In response to... More

First visit watched my salad being made with dirty, nose rubbed hands, after a seemingly genuine apology decided to go back for lunch again. Caesar salad with frozen diced chicken, lettuce with some sort of broken shell inside, cold chips and to top off the visit a weevil dead in the vinegar bottle. Hygiene first, so I will go elsewhere... More
