Stopped here for a meal on route to our hotel. Great traditional pub, love the bar snacks idea with options like crispy chicken and pork scratchings. We had the two course meal for around £14, the food was good, I enjoyed the starter garlic mushrooms. Gave 4 not 5 stars as there were things that could be better - had... More

Looked for an authentic olde pub before flying out the next day. Found a couple looking for same. Walked into the churchyard and down the side and at the rear....loh and beholde....one of the finest old pubs in England. Very busy and good food. What a find!

We visited this restaurant again with our daughter son in law and 21 month old grandson., we have eaten there several times now, in the evenings and at lunchtime. The food and service again was excellent, and the staff are wonderful with our grandson as always. The food is always good, with a good range of beers and wine., and... More

If you have an early flight from Gatwick and are staying in one of the Horley hotels (most of them are in Massetts Road), this is the place to eat before you go. Great atmosphere, excellent food, varied menu. It's worth pigging out and having a dessert too – they're great.

Nice traditional pub with decent food and ales. Very friendly staff. Make sure you have booked a table during a weekend.

Lovely food, coal /log fire kept us warm. Good proximity to Gatwick. Wine very pricey. Beautiful old building which our South African guest appreciated

I don't like a restaurant that doesn't have napkins in the table, the tables were dirty, the menus sticky. The servers were pleasant, the food was good. My steak was cooked perfectly and chips were tasty and not under cooked. My wife had the beef short rib, also very good. We ordered off the 2 & 3 course menu so... More

Came here for Sunday lunch with friends. The pub has been really tastefully for Christmas which is lovely! The food was fantastic, chicken was cooked perfectly and the desserts were incredible - we shared the dessert tasting platter which was as good as it looks! Will definitely be going back. Book a table as this place gets busy!

Ordered two slow roast lamb with mint and honey glaze - got soggy Yorkshire which I sent back only to get another just the same as it's replacement - lamb needed another half an hour cooking and needed a steak knife to eat it - not what I expect from a vintage inn - could do much better - oh...
