Situated next to a church the setting, in this day and age, is almost unique in what has become a heavily buit up area. You would not think you were less than two miles from the runway at Gatwick. A brief step back in time. The food is good, reasonably priced, the atmosphere pleasantly convivial. Make sure you visit when... More

A lovely country style pub tucked away in the middle of Horley. Food was lovely, staff were friendly and the pub has comfy chairs which for me is a must.

Always a warm atmosphere in this lovely old pub with rustic charm and low oak beams. Food is very good and a lovely place to spend a summers evening with a cold beer.

A brilliant stop off before a flight. Pie night is fab. Crisp pastry and plenteous fillings. A really nice pub with very good grub.

Visited here a few times with friends and partner. Lovely food and nice atmosphere. Slightly smaller so always try and pre-book, which is a doddle as they have an online booking form. The pie is a firm favourite followed by the battered halloumi and chips

Just popped in for a quick drink with a colleague. Lovely pub, with good ale. Didn't eat this time, but the eating areas were busy on a midweek lunchtime so I can only assume it's popular locally.

Good choice on menu - lamb 2ways, sea bass on prawn risotto etc. Medium rare sirloin was a little chewy. If one in your party registers online for their newsletter you can all get a free dessert with each main course. We walked to pub from the Gatwick North Holiday Inn - pleasant 10 minute walk through meadow and church... More

Thank you for your review, Our Lamb dish is certainly one of our most popular dishes. I am sorry to hear that your Sirloin was a bit chewy and I will have a chat with my Chef so that we can pass this feedback onto our Butcher. We hope to see you next time you are flying out of Gatwick. More

This was everything we were looking for in a British pub experience, a wide selection of draft beers, ales and ciders, a genuine old building with nooks and crannies, low ceilings and fire places and a great menu of more than the average fare. Service was warm, friendly and efficient, the food tasted excellent and prices were fair given the... More
