Came here with my wife for an early dinner. We were seated promptly and given menus, fine. But the food took quite a while to arrive. But when it did it was really very good, the only positive part about this experience. The problem was,...when we had finished it, they didn't clear our plates away- they were left in front of us for more than half an hour. And we had to ask for the bill several times before we finally got it. There only seemed to be one poor woman serving the entire restaurant, whilst the 'manager' just strode around the restaurant with his hands in his pockets, doing nothing. They forgot to add one of our food items to the bill, but that just shows how lacking they are in being organised and diligent, not our problem. We won't return.More

Loved loved loved the food! Perfect indian flavors, and tempting food presentation. They were so sweet to wish us with a special anniversary dessert. The staff is pleasant, attentive and offer wonderful service. Mumbai Central is a must visit for an Indian treat.

Mumbai Central have really upped their game. We've eaten in and we've had delivery and the food has been faultless. Everything is absolutely packed with flavour and the correct amount of heat. The Mixed Grill is a thing of wonder and unreal value for money....I am dreaming of my next visit!More

I have been lucky enough to eat at plenty of delicious Indian restaurants in my time but I have to say that this place had one of the most tastiest menus that I have come across. We had just mains and I’m glad we did!...Generous portion sizes meant we were not left hungry. The food tasted fresh and mouth-wateringly delicious. The waiters were extremely polite and humble. The food is well-priced, there is an attractive interior and great atmosphere. I can’t wait to go again!More

Arrived on spec at 6.45pm 4/11 said we could have a table. No form to fill in or covid app. Waited 20 minutes then asked if we wanted to order, hadn’t even been given a menu. Ordered drinks and starter came not too bad. When...main course came side order missing took ages to come. Asked for more drinks had to remind three times. People on next table had their coats on ready to leave and pay for their drinks as no one had come to take his order. Will NEVER darken their doors again.More

we are regular visitors in mumbai central but i must say the service and customer care has gone down so badly in this place . Very less staff (one waiter for all the tables and the manager) long wait for the orders and had to...explain every single time what we ordered. Since the previous manager changed we dont feel like going there.. he was very friendly and customer oriented . we had to ask few times for the papadams which use to be complimentary before. felt like the restaurent has become very money oriented rather than customer .. hope things get better moving forward.More

Awesome food, authentic Indian cuisine with excellent service. Every time I went for dinner, had a great experience of dining. Staff excel in services and well trained. One of the best food in Hayes and of course whole in Bromley.

‘Eat out to help out’ turned into ‘cram as many of you in and not give any care or personal touch!’ I guess alarm bells should have rung when I was able to book a table on the night during this government scheme...wish I hadn’t...! Full of trainee staff trying their best, but nobody guiding or directing them. Tables crammed in, no consideration to social distancing. Took over an hour and a half to receive starter. Although one waiter did come over after nearly 2 hours to see how we were, his excuse was the fact they were busy and had trainees. He offered to take off the price of the starter, but when the bill came this wasn’t honoured. The only time the manager appeared interested in us was when we were finished, he thrust the bill our way and wanted the table cleared to accommodate more customers who were queuing outside. This was a family reunion meal, first time we were able to be together since lockdown. My son often eats at this restaurant which is why we went, he was embarrassed at the service, quality and told us the portions were smaller than normal. Eat out to help out has not worked here as we will NOT be back and being Hayes residents do support local businesses- but sorry, not here any more!More

I booked this restaurant for myself and three friends last week. After being shouted at for being ten minutes late we didnt get our meal for over an our and a half. I had to ask for poppadums to stave off the hunger as they...hadnt been offered. The restaurant is run by a very disorganised and rude manager and staffed by very young and untrained waiters. We had to give our order twice as it had not gone to the kitchen the first time. The diners either side of us had also been waiting for up to two hours, with no apology or explanation. When the food finally arrived it was, at best, acceptable. Unfortunately a memorable experience for all the wrong reasons. We will not be returning.More

went for the second time after we had a wonderful first experience and it were shocked to get something opposite to our first visit . It look like the management has changed and the new does not care about the standards of service . the...service was so bad that my friend had to get up and go pick up cutlery for our mains from their service station at the back. we spoke to the manager and was shocked to find such an arrogant person that only cares for money . Food was acceptable but for the kind of service and experience we had the place was TOOOOO EXPENSIVE . And did not understand what they charge 10 % service charge for …….More

Couldn’t give it a 1 star because the food was edible. The poor kids serving had no training or direction. Not their fault. Service was appallingly bad. It’s the kind of place you’d recommend to someone as a joke. If Ricky Gervais did restaurant parody’s...it wouldn’t be in Slough, it would be in Hayes.More

This is my second visit to the restaurant . because we had an excellent experience last time we decided to try it again and it turned up to be a disaster. looks like the management has changes and the new ones just don't care ....We where two families with children and they managed to put a big group of young guys next to us who where really loud and very filthy language. non of the staff seemed to be bothered to tell them to behave . I had to go and talk to the manager in the bar counter to speak to the group to be quite and mind their language as families with kids where around . The service was absolutely awful no one to take care of the guests . We had our initial drinks delayed and we had to keep following it up several times. when the drinks came witch where mocktails and cocktail . there was no garnish or any decoration . the 9£ drink looked as if jusc pored in a random glass and given . no one asked us for a second round of drinks . No Napkins on the table . No cutlery given with the mains. No one to clear the tables . basically for anything we have to get hold of a waiter . Even the food order was served wrong . we ordered a mixed fried rice and we got a mushroom rice . And to finish with we had two curries a rice and few nan left which we want to take away . first the waiter came back and told because of the eat to help offer its the government policy that they cant do take out . when i questioned it the manager came and told as the takeaway containers cost his company he will not do takeaway. We where quite shocked as this was food which we had paid for ad for curries which they charge 10.00£ they can give a .20 p container. The manager always seemed to be around the bar counter and was never once seemed checking what was happening on the tables . our bill for 4 adults and 3 kids came to 200.00£ and that is not cheap for any restaurant . and there was the eat out discount which the restaurants gives you as if they are doing some big favour to you. For the kind of experience and service we got we felt that a good evening and money was wastedMore

We had visited the restaurant when it first opened and had a lovely meal but had not yet used for a takeaway. We decided to take advantage of the collection discount offer especially as the restaurant are generously supporting NHS workers during the COVID19 crisis....This is fantastic to see. The food was ready quickly, large portions and excellent quality. It’s nice to see a fairly unique menu offering traditional dishes from India. You can get the usual traditional dishes, chicken tikka was excellent. We recommended trying and will be going back.More
