We visited here a couple of times whilst on holiday in Ilfracombe. There is a great selection of cakes and drinks. From sponge cakes and brownies to cream teas and ginger cake there was something for everyone. The same can be said when it comes to drinks the usual hot options alongside a range of cold ones including smoothies and... More

I saw this tea room on trip advisor, and thought I'd try it. I wasn't disappointed, the ladies were lovely, dressed in polka dot dresses, they looked grand. As for the food we had a simple cream tea, well the scones were still warm, the tea was amazing. I'm not a tea drinker, but it was truly lovely. The ladies... More

We visited as a group of 7 adults and 2 young children (one with a pushchair) a short time ago. On arrival we were 'greeted' with a gruff woman telling us we couldn't bring our pushchair in as their other customers would not be able to move. Upon looking around there were no other customers in the shop at the... More

We stayed in ilfracombe for a week and visited The Great British Tea Shop everyday, we had the scones with jam and cream which were absolutely lovely! The scones were warm and the cream was proper clotted cream, the jam was also top notch! The milkshakes were amazing, my favourite is the white chocolate, and they even ordered in some... More

This quant little tea shop is absolutely delightful and delicious. Everyone was so lovely too. We popped in for some tea and scones and left with tummies full and satisfied! Made our trip to Devon a little sweeter! Thanks again.

We visited Ilfracombe on a wet Tuesday during our holiday. The shop was busy, but we split our group a cross two tables. The service was swift and the waiting staff were chatty and friendly. It was a little but of vintage and offered a varied selection of drinks and cakes. We opted for a cream tea, which was really nice... More

A very sweet and lovely looking place. We were drawn in by the look of the shop from the street and it lived up to our expectations. Cream teas for two, vanilla milkshake and a hot chocolate with whipped cream all polished off in full (the quietest the kids had been all day!) The traditional feel of the place makes... More
