We called in for breakfast and were greeted by a very friendly lady. The cafe is very clean with excellent COVID precautions and the breakfast baps were spot on. I can understand why this unpretentious cafe has such a good rating

Thank you for your reassuring review. We are determined to keep our customers and staff as well protected as we can.

We were put off by a large table of more than six guests here, when surely they should not exceed six persons. We didn't stay as we didn't feel safe. The owner lady seems a big 'grand' but as a Cafe this place can't otherwise...be criticised.More

I am sorry to disagree but we have not had any parties of more than 6. In fact I have only accepted 1 group of 6 since all this has started. All our tables are well spaced and we are very particular with social distancing....More

Me and my husband stopped here for a breakfast during our holiday and it was that nice we returned again a couple of days later! The breakfast is plentiful and delicious, the coffee is lovely and the the staff are very warm and welcoming. Will...definitely return on next year's holiday! :)More

Came here with the family on our last day of holiday. Read good reviews. First impressions weren't great, as the lady bluntly asked 'have you booked?' as we approached the door. Confused by the 'offer' on the basic breakfast - 2 for £12 or 1...for £6, um ok... Ordered the kids a bacon bap and cheese on crumpets. The £3.50 bap had one piece of bacon in. The crumpets came with no cheese (this was later rectified in all fairness, but when it was almost finished). It felt like paying adult prices for child portions. Breakfasts were underwhelming and basic, genuinely not sure why the reviews are so good? The thick cut toast was the best bit. I had a far better breakfast at wetherspoons down the road earlier in the week and really wish we had gone there again instead. Price wise, certainly above average for what was being served up. Whole experience was really quite poor.More

Sorry if your experience was not good. August was very difficult for us all. Because of the social distancing now in place we have less tables and there was so many holiday makers pre booking was the only way forward.

Incredibly warm welcome as you go into the cafe. The staff were genuine and good fun. The food was brilliant and the price was even better!

Popped in as visiting the area from Gloucester, and saw some glowing reviews. Which are well deserved! The staff were very friendly and made you feel comfortable. COVID procedures were good, everything cleaned inbetween use and tables well spaced. Had the sausage sandwich and partner...had the 'Big Mick's breakfast'. Both were lovely and nice to visit somewhere that is a traditional cafe offering traditional food at reasonable prices. Recommend.More

Wonderful! Great food, fantastic hot chocolate and excellent host’s. Situated next to the Coop and with parking behind makes it a perfect start to the day as it is just a few minutes walk to the harbour.

We stopped by and had a quick late lunch before they closed for the day. Our teenagers loved the loaded chips, the ploughmans and cheese and coleslaw baguette also went down well too! Thank you :)

We went as a family of 4 for breakfast today, this is a wonderful cafe, really great family service. They are going out if their way to make everyone feel welcome and safe. The food was freshly cooked, delicious quality produce, the big breakfast set...us up for the day. Would recommend to stop in here, we will be going back. Thank youMore
