Their were two of us, we asked for a fried cod with no batter with mushy peas, chips and a pot of tea and a battered Place with chips and muchy peas. When the food came, the cod was poached and the Battered place was a frozen piece of fish that when fried had no taste and was watery. What... More

Probably the best fish and chip out of many in Ilfracombe. Good for take away or eating in. The take away service was very efficient and the eat in well priced

The food here is good. Our family of 8 enjoyed a good meal. However, the waitresses need some intense training in customer service. One was overheard to say, loudly, "blimey, it's like trying to get round an obstacle course" (referring to the closely set tables and pushchairs, which needn't have been pushed together as they were). Those "obstacles" are your... More

Had a brilliant meal with the family, we had in our party a 2 year old who was made welcome and they had a high chair for him. The fish and chips were lovely, the service was efficient and the food came in good time. They were very busy, but still we received excellent service. The meal was good value... More

After an all day drinking session on Carnival day, we fancied some fish and chips before our stagger home. We have had take aways from the Ilfracombe fryer on numerous occasions and it is a safe bet for a tasty meal. The take away queue was massive so we decided to grab a table and were quickly served and just... More

A huge plaice filled my plate, and the chips had to settle for a side plate. The fish was thick, the batter crisp and light, the chips hot and fresh, and the pot of tea was pretty good too. A fine chippie near the seafront.

A decent meal of fish and chips in a nice setting on the main promenade in Ilfracombe. Fairly priced, tasted nice and free wifi. Kept all of the family happy.

You have to try this restaurant, eat-in or take-away. Great choices and lovely tasting food, worth the walk from the town centre to the coast line
