rather old fashioned, but fairly comfortable hotel. Bed in our room rather on "firm" side, and not very wide

My child's & partners meals were enjoyed. My portion of chips came chewy and rating of oil I asked for fresh chips - which looked exactly the same I tried to eat & now I feel so SICK!!!

Recently visited this place especially hungry for Fish and Chips after we smelt them on the way past. For an evening in season this restaurant on the Promenade/ front wasn't busy but the takeaway side did seem to be. The restaurant inside appeared to be clean, cumfy and accommodating also for families. The food is hopefully local produce, which would... More

A confused concept. Pizzaria and chippy. Neither very good. Food was disappointing and service slow. In our party of four, the highest suggested rating was one and a half.

Lynbay fish and chips have just produced 55 portions of fish and chips on a busy Saturday night for the parish church's Quiz Night. Well done excellent as usual beautiful crisp batter and piping hot. Fleur and Josh you both stars.

Good value and nicely cooked traditional fish and chips to eat in or takeaway. Handy for the seafront and gardens to sit and eat if you don't want to eat in.

After wandering around Ilfracombe looking for somewhere to eat (for some reason many places seem to be shut on Monday and Tuesday evenings!) we came across the Ilfracombe Fryer and decided to have a sit down fish and chip meal. I had Haddock, peas and chips and my wife had fishcake and chips. The portions were large and the fish... More

me and my partner both ordered fish and chips and two bottles drinks. We eat in the restaurant by the window with a lovely view. It had only opened for the day and the food was nice and fresh, fast and reasonably priced. The battered Mars bar was lovely and served with ice cream and chocolate sauce. The staff were... More

We had take away from here during our stay in Ilfracombe. Very tasty fish and chips. I'm a vegetarian and loved the fact there were different options for veggies rather than just pineapple fritter. I had the tempura vegetables and chips and it was a fantastic meal and very reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again when we return to Ilfracombe.

Thank Paula G
