Fish cakes to start were excellent and very tasty. My wife had steak for main course and I had surf and turf. Lobster was fantastic but my medium to rare steak was medium at best if not well done. Still tasty but not as ordered. Chocolate desert with hot and cold was fantastic. Despite the steak we would definitely return.

Booked a table here as not many restaurants were open being just before the main holiday season but what a lovely meal we had and a great friendly atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.

We managed to get a booking last night for ten of us, and we were so pleased we did. A smallish family run place with a high quality feel. Lovely selection of local real ales on offer. The menu is varied, with plenty of fish and meat dishes to choose from. I liked the fact that there were plenty of... More

We chanced upon this restaurant whilst searching for a good place to eat but as it was fully booked we were invited to make a reservation for the following evening. Glad we did – had a splendid tasty well prepared meal that was very sensibly priced – a choice of mains all at £10 and desserts at £5. No time... More

Food very good and reasonably priced. Small and friendly. Just tucked up a side street and well worth a visit. Monkfish fritter starter excellent.
