Restaurant itself is quite small, dark; however the staff were fine. I had the Pan Roasted John Dory, which was absolutely fantastic. The vegetables which came with the meal were delicious, and the hand cut chips were also very good. Speed of service was average, however it did not seem as slow as others have stated. Worth a visit.

We ate here on our first night in Ilfracombe. Service was slow and the staff seemed quite miserable. The restaurant itself was dark and lacked atmosphere. The food was OK. . Scallops were a bit tough and not much for money. Monkfish however was lovely. My son had the burger which he enjoyed. Wouldn't go back.

Friendly service. Lamb tagine, hake and summer pudding all excellent. Good English wine. Kids happy with plain burger and fries.

I recently popped in after a beautiful stroll near the harbour. The wide range of dishes available enticed me and my friends to try it out and we certainly were not disappointed! There truly was something for everyone! We were welcomed warmly by the staff and taken care of all evening. I would highly recommend this eatery - fantastic value... More

My partner and I had been recommended this restaurant by some friends who had visited Ilfracombe earlier in the year, and boy were we glad they did! From the moment we entered, the staff were warm and friendly, and the restaurant itself had a lovely welcoming atmosphere. The food was absolutely superb, to the point that my partner and I... More

We had a lovely meal which was served very efficiently. The prices are not cheap, but the food good. The restaurant one the whole is nice, but lacks a little in atmosphere and although very efficient, the waiting staff need to smile a little more.

We met some friends for dinner and although this restaurant didnt pop up in trip advisor it did win an award in 2015 so we gave it a go. Very friendly service and some great dishes on offer, using locally sourced produce. We were also really please to see them offering English wine on the menu. I had the bouillabaisse... More

We were lucky enough to be able to book a table for two on a Friday night. We had pea and asparagus tart with poached egg and scallops with pea puree for starters. The market day fish was brill with shellfish bouillabaisse veg and chips which we had along with slow cooked lamb (shank) tagine with cous cous and mint... More

Booked here at short notice after walking past in the afternoon. Friends had recommended the restaurant sometime ago. It feels a little quaint inside but that is a positive. The food and service were both very good and the prices sensible. Will go again!
