Sunday afternoon 14 of us arrived at the pub just after 2. Our food took well over an hour - o know that we were a big group bit we kept the order simple with only ordering a selection of 3 different dishes between is. The roast came as a family service style which was ok. But are warm empty... More

This was our third visit to Lee and another planned for November. Each time we have spent quite a few sociable hours at the Grampus. We were lucky enough to be there for open mic night which is a great way of making friends and enjoying local entertainment. Landlord Bill and friends play in the corner of the bar -... More

After enjoying a good meal here in the past, a party of us went to The Grampus to celebrate a special birthday earlier this week. The table was pre booked so the fact that there were 12 of us wasn't a surprise yet it still took over 1 hour to serve 6 baked camembert starters and there was further delay... More

We come to Lee Bay at least once a year and a visit to the Grampus is a must every time. Excellent beers, brewed on the premises by Bill - much better, in my opinion, than Otter. Ambience is wonderful and food delicious, and reasonably priced for the quality.

We walked from Ilfracombe along the coastal path to Lee. Quite a strenuous walk, THe lady at the tourist office said the cliff walk to Lee was good and that there was a pub in the village. There is a sign at the end of a narrow road pointing the way to the pub from the coast path. It is... More

We called here for lunch with friends who had been previously. On arrival we were unsure as to whether the place was actually open as the car park and entrance area looked untidy and in need of signs indicating that lunches were being served. We sat in the lovely quaint beer garden and ordered four simple lunches, three of which... More

When one walks into the dark bar area, you feel a bit of a stranger; people are quietly drinking or eating - and people just look at you. The menu has a few items - which on our visits were a pasta dish, a steak, bangers and fishcakes - all okay and enjoyed by all. 3/4 puds all served with... More

Lovely pub full of interesting characters. Food good although menu a little small. Has the most amazing selection of wine by the glass. Live music.

We went for Friday lunch after 4 hours of travelling. Ordered a simple lunch - two ploughmans - after waiting 45 minutes we went in and asked what had happened we were told they were busy ... busy I understand but 45 minutes for bread, cheese and a scoop of coleslaw?. 15 minutes later we were still waiting and asked...
