Visited with friends for Sunday lunch. Great steaks cooked to perfection accompanied by pleasant service and good views from the conservatory. £130 inc drinks was good value.

Just had lunch at the Toby Inn. The conservatory area overlooking the moors is beautiful. Food was hot, tasty and plentiful, service was good. Not the cheapest but good quality food in lovely surroundings so you get what you pay for. Will definitely return..

Had a lovely meal at the Toby Inn. It was early Saturday evening ,we had a large range of diners in our party from 4 years to a couple of 90year olds. Everyone enjoyed their choices and as we were a large party we were attended to with friendliness and patience. It was a very happy occasion at a restaurant... More

I commend the Toby Inn Restaurant for consistently providing a high standard of cuisine with friendly service. The location of the Restaurant adds to the enjoyment of visiting being surrounded by an open landscape of fields and moorland hills. During this visit we both enjoyed a pasta lunch served to us in the glazed multi-sided extension whilst looking out across... More

I've been coming here for more than 10 years. In a Gobi desert of local eateries, this one just about holds its own. It's not going to win awards, but what you have is a family run restaurant overlooking the Moors, that despite its remote location, is always busy. There is a nice atmosphere, you won't walk out thinking you've... More

Absolutely amazing, pate and ribs for starters are out of this world, followed by fillet steaks, tried both Diane and pepper sauce and what can I say melt in your mouth! Top notch as always, never disappoints! Red wine went down a treat also! Thanks for a lovely meal!

Description
We are a family run restaurant and pub. Beautifully located in the Broadhead Valley with panoramic views across the West Pennine Moors, we have been cooking here since 1987. We pride ourselves on the quality of our food which is made fresh everyday. Our dough is made by hand and baked daily for the freshest bread. Our meats and fish are sourced locally to ensure great flavour in their freshness.
