First visit of we four for lunch. Arrived on a cold day, but found a warm pub. Greeted by friendly staff, we hadn't booked but given a table immediately, and shown the menu and the wine list. We had steak and ale pies and meat...More

Basically don't go here if you want: good service or the food you've ordered to be served in anything approaching a timely or friendly manner. Plus overpriced bar food.

If a glass washer doesn’t clean the glasses then staff should ensure they are polished. £9.85 for a pint and a vile, cheap red plonk is pushing it. Staff were ignorant in not opening the door in and out of the beer garden. Would have...More

Every time I eat here, I intend trying something different, but today was just the day for a Waggon & Horses meat and potato pie. Just the right amount of meat with plenty of potato and excellent pastry - a very tasty and substantial meal....More

My friends and I went for a walk with our young children, all under 2 and visited the pub for our lunch. Nice place and although there were only 2 high chairs for our 4 babies, the staff appeared happy for us to move the...More

Hi Jan, We visited the cafe a few years ago, (before the red spots!) it was cramped, hot and sweaty, greasy spoon, mediocre food, poor service, young indifferent staff, etc. etc. We did the rounds of the lovely, Langsett... More
