The food was mediocre. Mushroom rice greasey. Chicken dish didn't have much chicken and was too oily. Service was sufficiently attentive but somehow indifferent. Also advertised desserts not available (ever). High spot was an outstanding Sag Aloo. Over though really quite Disappointing.

We left it a month or so after our last unsatisfactory visit and we're glad we did. Service was sharp, the staff were friendly the food arrived quickly and it was piping hot. Recommend Chefs starter assortment. This includes a battered mushroom, a piece of seekh kebab, an onion bhaji, a morcha and two pieces of chicken tikka. served with... More

I would highly recommend this restaurant as my local restaurant, mainly because there is a team of new staff from covent garden London who serve dishes differently than their predecessors , i was told about this by the waitress. we were a group of 6, i asked the chef to select the starters, main course, side dishes and rice, nan bread... They have a new chef who is trying new dishes all the time. We had a lovely meal and prices were very reasonable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Popadums and sauces very tasty.

Service was very good, staff friendly and efficient , we had a mixture of lamb madras and a very good chicken meal served as Madras strength . Rice and nan cheese was good, no complaints certainly worth a visit, not licensed but you can bring your own alcoholic drinks with no corkage charge. Good to see Mohammed back with a... More

This was the restaurant I frequented the most, until it closed suddenly earlier this year. It was all very mysterious but eventually it transpired they were doing a kitchen refurb. It reopened on 19 May 2016 so we went on Sun 23rd. We figured it may be popular so Mrs Baps called in and made a reservation. They couldn't do... More

After a few months closure we were delighted at the re-opening and we weren't disappointed. Food up to the usual higher standard, great atmosphere, some new faces on the staff, all in all a great night. Already booked again for next weekend.

We live at the other end of the island and don't often get up to Ramsey but when we do we try to make time for a meal. It's some time since we visited Spice of India and based on some of the recent reviews, we were slightly hesitant; however we had dined there in the past and always found... More
