Restaurant was very quiet so was surprised at the waitress looking at her watch and groaning a little when we asked for a table for 6 as it was only 20.45! Anyway we sat down and were served a really rather good set meal. We opted for Banquet B and because of the size of our group could add a... More

My Partner and I stayed in Douglas for the New Year, and as our favourite cuisine is Chinese we decided to go somewhere local. The staff were pleasant but the atmosphere was dead. The decor also needs some work doing as you feel as though you are sat in someone else's living room. The food was very tasty - We... More

I first came here for a take out when I moved a few buildings down a month ago. I used to go to a different Chinese but since I tried this take out I'm not going back to the old one. The owner/manager of the Chinese is a extremely nice and polite. she sat and had a good chat with... More

After reading the reviews, I had hoped I found a special Chinese restaurant on an island with many very average Chinese takeaways. The dining room is in a hotel and has a beautiful view, probably its strongest point. The food was standard Chinese, not bad but nothing special. Salt and pepper spare ribs were tasty and not deep fried (I... More

Don't get me wrong, the food was nice. But the service was awful. Had only just been given menu when waitress was there asking for our food order. Ordered drinks and not all drinks brought. Another waitress came back with the missing drinks. Again pushed to order food when we were not ready. Once we did order food, it came... More

We ate at the resteraunt on our arrival at Douglas - good selection of Chinese food. We also ate breakfast (as we stayed at the hotel). Good value.

Perhaps we are spoiled by enjoying the vibe of China Town in Manchester. We booked for the Wednesday evening buffet as did a large number of other diners. The food was tired,Chicken sticks were barely cooked through and there was a lack of distinct flavours. Perhaps the staff were overwhelmed by numbers, but the service was slow. Generally disappointing.

We were recommended this restaurant by our son. The decor is a little "seventies" and we were slightly worried. On arrival that we were the only people in there (it was early) but by the time we left it was definitely full! We ordered the banquet for four, and had a couple of bottles of wine. The food was delicious,... More
