Terrible restaurant. Starter table is all cold food, that has been out all evening and looking very tired. The Carvery is just a single dried out meat with soggy vegetables not refreshed all evening. Service is slow. Drinks a rip off - baileys is only 25ml not the usual 50ml. Car parking also charged despite free street parking. They are... More

Had a family meal here on father's day. It was busy so book in advance. A decent selection of cold buffet starter, service was on the slow side for drinks etc. Main meal is a carvery and was fine, though an extra slice or two of meat would be welcome. A good choice of cold desserts. Some people many find... More

Went here for 3 course sunday lunch £19.95p and were very pleased. It was fairly quiet desppite the TT. Service was very attentive. The starter selection was a main meal in itself (salmon, smoked salmon, cold meats, prawns, seafood, salad dishes etc.,etc.,). The hot meat buffet was good. The variety of deserts was adequate. The wine menu was reasonably priced.

My partner and I regularly have Sunday lunch in this restaurant. However last Sunday the Palace Hotel decided that their regular Sunday lunch customers would take second place to the Casino 50th year celebrations. The lunch venue was moved into a totally inadequate space and it was not a pleasant dining experience. The tables were too close together, the food... More

Visited here with my girlfriend, was impressed on arrival, met at the door and shown to our table where menus were given. Bread followed immediately and the restaurant looked lovely in itself and the staff were all well presented, however the waitress failed to take the menus when we ordered and didn't know if they had a wine list. I... More

I did not come to this restaurant out of choice as I was invited to a meal as part of a large group. Food was edible but not particularly exciting. There are better places to go on the island.

Pleasant enough seafood starters, although no prawns. Mediocre selection of overpriced wines. Carvery with dry meat, skin on gravy, and overcooked, dry, rubbery roast potatoes.

Went the restaurant with the family, based on a recommendation. Traditional English fare was available; soup a cold cuts section, followed by a buffet style carvery (primarily beef and chicken). Went for the chicken, with all the usual accompaniments; roasted potatoes, vegetables, gravy etc. In truth was a little 'tired' - probably because it had been sat under the warming... More

I have to preface this review with the admission that the carnivore enjoyed their steak, hence two "stars" instead of one. I opted for the bar menu as the restaurant menu had only one unappetising vegetarian option. To start I had hummus and crudités, which was actually tahini (not hummus) served with celery, cucumber and peppers; very difficult to eat... More
