Came across this place two years ago where we had brunch and decided to visit again. The restaurant has since changed ownership and now run by amazing chef and his wife. The food compares to any top London restaurant I have been to. The depth of flavours were wonderful, particular favourites were the leek and potato soup of the day,... More

Well we had read the reviews for the Bistro and looked forward to sampling the food ourselves. We were not disappointed, the food was excellent and served in a timely manner , plenty of it and piping hot. My wife had the Venison and Beetroot casserole and thoroughly enjoyed. The host was warm and welcoming, the surroundings were fresh and... More

This is a very friendly restaurant with beautiful big art work on the walls. There were six of us at our table and our meals were served all together by the two waitresses. The food was very good, as was the wine. We will return when next in Ventnor.

We went to the Bistro for lunch on a Saturday for the first time since the new couple have been running it. We had a fabulous lunch which was freshly prepared and really good value for money. Nice choice of options and really lovely deserts. One of us had the cheeseboard which was also a really good option. We will... More

We took advantage of an excellent offer of two courses for £8 or £9 just before Christmas and the food was absolutely stunning. My husband has a huge appetite and the team at the Bistro were very understanding!! Lovely decor, immaculately clean, excellent food and menu and reasonably priced and very nice wine and drinks Really worth a visit!

The reception is friendly, the menu list is short, this is a good sign… …and the food is actually perfect, tasty and presented in an appetizing light. Vegeratian people welcome. The restaurant is small, it's a good idea to pass a call to book a table.

We had a new year's eve meal here, which is perhaps a special case, but the food we had was excellent - tasty, well-prepared and well-served. The service is very obliging and helpful, the wine list, while not extensive, has some good items on it and the overall package is very good. It's important to book, as it's not large.

We'd booked this as a party of six for New Year's Eve well in advance (we'd had to choose our food selection some weeks beforehand). Super food, very efficient service (possibly even too efficient - we would have liked a little more time between courses), but not exactly cheap. However, for a great meal, this hit the spot.
