This is a very pleasant Pub that offers good food at reasonable prices. The views out to sea are good and on a hot day nioce to sit outside and enjoy your surroundings

There were more good reviews than bad and the pub is dog friendly but sadly our experience was not great. We ate in the evening which meant several people had come before us and the remnants of their meals littered the floor. My husband ordered the fish pie which was more sauce than fish. The chips were tasteless and a... More

We celebrated my husband's 60th birthday in Shanklin. We walked along the beach, we chose to go out to dinner, inside all tables was busy. Some guests already finished their dinner. When we asked about the two places, waitress looks very bored, absolutely without interest to help us. When I said that we can wait, maybe will be free table,... More

We chose this pub for dinner since it was well rated and was dog friendly. It's nicely located at one end of the beach at Shanklin. Being the beginning of November many restaurants have closed for the season and this was their first attempt at remaining open out-of-season. Unfortunately for them we were the only diners so I believe they... More

A group of five couples landing on a little pub can be intimidating, but we were welcomed into this beautifully situated establishment. Positioned next to the beach, it provided some nice views. We returned on a couple of evenings when the atmosphere was cosy and comfortable. Our hosts were friendly, cheerful and informative and advised as to the recommended beers... More

It's pretty much off season so I suspect a reduced fare cart. Not a problem, food was very good. The wine list should be improved. Only have small bottles of prepackaged wines from varied parts of the world. Not very interesting. Staff was friendly but you order at the bar. Cute funky place with a great setting, boats on the... We both had lamb for our lunch, extremely tasty and very filling. Very good real ale and selection of drinks.

Small and tucked away right at the end of Shanklin beach. Views out across the bay from the front patio where there are several outside tables. Small inside but this adds to the old world charm. Fish and chips were fabulous and the dog was given a bowl of water. Another dog friendly eating place.

It's a small pub inside, so we had to eat outside. Which, although it was a cool autumn evening, was preferable because it's such a gorgeous view. Staff were efficient and reasonably friendly, the other diners were very chatty. My little girl and I had the moules mariniere sharer, which with the bread was enough for both of us. But... More

We visited for Sunday lunch, arrived at around 1.30pm and it was already quite busy, but managed to get a table inside. Nice to see Island brewed real ale on tap. Food arrived fairly quickly and was piping hot however my husband's roast beef looked like it had been boiled rather than roasted and the gravy was gluey. My burger... More
