This wasn't the first time we had visited Treats and once again we were extremely satisfied. The staff, environment and especially the food was brilliant. I had the roast vegetable quiche, which was devine,so tasty and the pastry was so light. There are many eating places, in Durham, for a light lunch time bite and I would say this is my favourite. Well... More

Be warned, it can get rather busy at peak times, and for good reason. This is miles away from the pretentious, chain eateries in Durham. The food is affordable, well cooked and gorgeous! The staff can't be faulted for either their politeness or efficiency, even in busy times. Definitely recommend, this isnt a big chain serving pre-cooked food, it's people... More

Always have a problem looking for places for me to eat as I am coeliac. So it was a refreshing change to find a place that will make me a sandwich of my choice from the menu. As mid day I don't always want a full blown meal. They were very accommodating and made a great effort to help even... More

Hi, thanks for your comments! It's always great to hear good feedback. Coeliac/gluten free is becoming more frequent in todays generation - people shudn't be excluded at restaurants because of this, hence we always try to accommodate all dietary needs in some way. I'm always on the look out for ways to improve our gluten free range so do keep... More

Us adults had quiche and salad (amazingly tasty), and My daughter ordered a 5 item breakfast (she chose sausages, bacon and egg) - plus a slice of white toast. She said her lunch was amazing. For afters my daughter and I shared a huge... More

Called in the other day with a coupla friends whilst doing some work nearby. It was 2.00pm Friday and the place was pretty busy but we managed to get a table no problem. The service was down to earth, fast and friendly. Good selection on the menu, we all went for the Chilli burger, £6.45. Big, fat, well cooked burger... More

We have visited Treats fairly often and normally the food is of good standard. We tried to call one lunchtime last week but the place was so busy that we could not find a vacant table which says a certain amount for it. We might have waited to be seated but there was a heavy unpleasant stale atmosphere of cooking... More

I used to went to Treats during my Erasmus in Durham every time I needed a break from study. You can go there and enjoy good food at low prices. The waiters are always nice and cheerful. If you're planning a visit to Durham, don't miss it!

have been here for lunch with my husband whilst shopping.. I have had jacket potato with filling which is served with a generous side salad .My husband opts for the all day breakfast which includes toast and jam and tea or coffee. both are excellent value. The only downside is the place gets very busy at lunchtime.

Treats is an ideal place I like to visit with a friend. It has a very welcoming atmosphere in which the staff are naturally friendly and helpful. There is a good selection of reasonably priced food and drink which is served in a pleasant and efficient manner. Treats is very clean, quite modern and tidy. I can highly recommend this... More
