Recommended this hot spot in Durham by some friends of ours and it definitely lived up to expectations. We enjoyed a delicious brunch, the pancakes were to die for. Will certainly be back. Tiny downside of a long queue but the pancakes and atmosphere were worth the wait.

Both the wife and I had lunch here. The staff looked busy but yet still managed to deliver fantastic service. We tried each others food, as you do, and I can say with some certainty that they were both as delicious as each other. Needless to say you will be seeing us again. Thank you.

Stopped off on Thursday 6th October, in the evening, after seeing a film and had a marvellous meal with the family. A great selection of sharing foods and scrumptious wines. We have dined here during the day and had such delightful meals, this was the first time that we had tried their recent evening collation and were not disappointed. A... More

We eat here every time we come to Durham which is often. The food is always of a high quality, really tasty and cooked to perfection. Love the drinks menu. The staff are always friendly, obliging. Try the frappe caramel.

Whether it's Flat White Kitchen or the original cafe, you can't go wrong with these guys. What a fantastic place to pass an half hour or so. Best coffee in Durham, food is beautiful and the staff are fantastic.

Because of the popularity of this cafe people seem to have to share tables with strangers, a bit of a shame. They do have seating outside but the weather wasn't really all that good. The overall ambience was lively and up-beat but i found the menu limited ( an earlyish start in Durham meant i'd had no breakfast) the only... More

Absolutely delicious. It is worth the wait and the line. The coffee is amazing and the food is made of the best ingredients. The staff is also incredibly friendly and nice. Order the eggs benedict and the flat white!!

This place has been highly recommended by many people in Durham. Finally after a year of living in Durham I decided to try on Friday morning. Thankfully, it wasn't crowded! So ee found a spot right away. I ordered classic pancake with maple syrup was really good but nothing extraordinary! And a bit over priced. £7.95 for a pancake (4... More

Located on Saddler Street, just seconds away from Durham Cathedral, is Flat White Durham's latest venture: Flat White Kitchen. The five-story 16th century property has been restored back to its original splendour and is a meld of stripped-wood, copper pipes and bare brick alongside opulent French mirrors and fresh flowers. The coffee offering showcases the owners' talents, who opened their first cafe after working alongside some of Australia's greatest roasters. Five years on, the two are still regulars on the coffee machine, passing on their talents to only a select few who make the cut. The food offering from Flat White Kitchen is equally as perfected as the coffee. A strong, kitchen team has been hand selected from the finest northern restaurants to ensure that the menu is as strong as the reputation.
