We visited the masons arms yesterday, it was very busy but we managed to get a small table in the snug. The food was delicious, the portion of ribs was absolutely huge, really good value for money. Really cosy little pub with gorgeous views, we would recommend!

We recently had a beautiful stay at the Masons Arms where we stayed in one of their gorgeous cottages with an open fire! As we arrived on a very rainy day we had lunch in the pub which was lovely - I had two starters which were huge portions - the tempura prawns which were tasty but a little on... More

We have been visitors to this pub over a twenty five year period and have stayed on several occasions . It is without doubt one of the best in the Lakes and is as warm and welcoming as ever- the staff are always friendly and attentive. There is a large ( too large?) and varied menu to cater for all... What a great place to stay...... Gorgeous rooms, peaceful location and great base for exploring the lakes. We loved the real fire! The food is amazing and there's a lovely warm atmosphere in the bar/restaurant. Absolutely nothing to fault at this place! We actually stayed March 20th-22nd 2015 but it won't go back that far!

We have stayed here on two occasions now, and we have been impressed both times. The rooms are very comfortable and furnished to a good standard. The pub/restaurant has a great selection of beers and wine etc and the food is very good. It's a very cosy, relaxed country pub, with very attentive staff. The pub sits on its own... More

This is a real gem..the building is quirky and welcoming, the location is magical, and the food is top restaurant quality and far superior to many of the local supposedly 'flash' hotels for a much more reasonable price. The meals aren't cheap, but they are far less expensive than hotel restaurant prices locally, and you are guaranteed a magical culinary... More

Visited the Masons during a stay in the Lakes following our wedding. The place had a lot to live up to as we had been enjoying some great quality food at our venue and it did just that! We were seated upstairs in a cosy restaurant and were treated to some delicious food. I enjoyed halloumi fingers followed by the... More

Tucked away off the beaten track, The Mason Arms was a haven from a chilly Autumn Evening. Wine selection was house Sauvignon which was lovely and the meals for all the family didn't disappoint. I had the pork belly with delicious mash, husband and daughter had the fish and chips (which I tried and was super tasty!) whilst my son... More

Enjoyed a fabulous meal for 2 on 24/10/2016 and cannot fault this great pub. Food and service were fantastic and very reasonably priced. Hope to return soon preferably in day light so that we can enjoy the views.

This is a favourite of mine in the Lake District and whenever we go it is always an excellent meal with excellent service. It is a typical country pub style of atmosphere and has a roaring log fire in the winter months which is always so warm and welcoming. There is an outside space where, in the warmer months, it...
