My brother has raved about this place for years so on Sunday we finally paid a visit...and already we can’t wait to return! It sits in the most picturesque and idyllic spot...overlooking lake Windermere and the surrounding countryside. There is heated outdoor seating which would...More

Very annoyed. A Family visit for sunday dinner yesterday. I could possibly overlook the fact they brought out 1 measly bowl of veg for 5 sunday roasts and a children's pizza that looked like the £1 frozen tesco pizzas. However its pretty upsetting to see...More

Visited here on the recommendation from our B&B (Low Graythwaite Country House), as we wanted some hearty pub food having been walking all day. Despite it being a bit out of the way - driving from Graythwaite in driving rain - it was well worth...More

We paid a unplanned visit to the Masons Arms for what was supposed to be a light bite to eat (lunch time) after a delightful walk up Gunners How. The menu was so appealing that I could not resist to the temptation of the Roasted...More

Have visited here for over 20 years so its nice to always see John and Helen. The food is always good but of late the staff seem unorganised and carefree. Wont stop me going but I hope the service will once again match the food.

Got your attention? Let me highlight this gem of a pub just 10 mins or so from The Swan at Newby Bridge. It's a fabulous homely pub, good drink selection, nice decor, an outside eating drinking area catering for everyone. Let me just say the...More

I have seen dogs on the outside area, not sure about inside. It's quite small in the bar area, if your dog is quiet I wouldn't see a problem!
