reliable family had said this was "excellent" but 2 out of 3 dishes were cold so sent back and when replaced, one was raw. suffice to say, only one dish was paid for. very very dissapointing "off night" as described by the head waiter. wish we'd gone to the kebab shop over the road that had a queue down the... There has been a pub/restaurant on this site for many long years, and in the past a bit hit and miss. The current offering however is excellent. Totally revamped from its dated past, and modern in every way. Spotlessly clean and most welcome in Bowness. Menu is first class, and whilst not the cheapest in town you get what you... More

Lovely venue, central location. The waiters were extremely accommodating even though they were rushed off their feet. The barman was a little off and seemed to be hard pushed to serve several people at once but the waiters made up for his lack of service. Unfortunately it was training so we couldn't sit outside but our waiter seated us in... More

My wife and I ate here whilst in Windermere. Not the cheapest but don't mind paying more when it's this good. Nice restaurant, polite, attentive staff and great food. Can highly recommend.

We called into this bar on Saturday night this weekend. I'd been before with other friends and enjoyed the last experience (this was last summer). Chaos at the bar, granted it was a busy time with people ordering meals, cocktails etc but there was no orderly queue and staff really either not knowing what they were doing, what to do... More

One of the best breakfasts I've ever eaten. Hot, well presented and served with a smile. We were just gutted we found this on our last morning as after reading the evening menu, would've loved to sample the main meals.

This restaurant is right in the centre and the bar area was very busy with large groups. The main restaurant area had vacant tables. We required a high chair and the one we were given had the main part of the strap missing, I mentioned it but still had to go and find a different high chair. When ordering the... More

Food lovely but service awful the waiter mis heard the order so when the food came 1 order was wrong and the waiter was extremely rude and argumentative in front of all the outside customers blaming myself .The meal was then put right after a debate but that then put a very unsettling experience on our lunch...what has happened to... The only place to be advertising breakfast till 11:30 so went in to order. Very well decorated but with low lighting it feels like you're entering a club WAY too early. Just one guy serving but he was polite and pleasant. Breakfast arrived and fair play, it was top notch. A little pretentious in it's presentation but, all good quality... More
