The Bengal Brasserie has always been our favourite restaurant. Always good food and great service.
On Christmas eve we had a birthday celebration meal with 17 of us and the standard of service and quality of food was as good as always. The waiters were attentive without rushing us and they coped amazingly with the mayhem of a large party.
The quality of the food was as high as ever and exactly the same as when we visit with just two of us. Everyone of our guests enjoyed their meal with many suggesting it was the best 'Indian' they had ever had.
Highly recommend.

It’s almost secondary to tell you about the incredible, delicious and extremely tasty food at the Bengal Brasserie when you’re thinking about the exceptional service! That’s what truly cements the restaurant’s 11 out of 10 status; you feel so special and valued from the minute you walk in to the minute you leave. We’ve never had a meal that’s less than spectacular (even if it’s a quick Friday night tea) and every dish we’ve ever tasted has been perfect and devoured entirely (I normally leave a little of any meal, but not here!). However it’s the service that truly excels - My partner heads up a large prestige automotive business and he plans to bring his management team here to “show them how it’s done” and demonstrate true customer service.
The renovation is also absolutely gorgeous.
Bravo to the entire team, hope to see you soon!

Another superb meal with friends on Friday night. Having visited most of the Indian restaurants in HarroGate/Wetherby area, this is the one we always come back to. Superb service (Mia and Sham run a tight shop), comfortable dining, great atmosphere, an extensive menu with some interesting specials, and most importantly, consistently superb food! Never had a bad meal. Ingredients are top quality. Poppadoms are always fresh (unlike some) and the lamb is top quality.
We have been a couple of times to their sister restaurant in Leeds (recently voted one of the best in Yorkshire) and we have found the Wetherby restaurant to be just as good.
More expensive than some but you get what you pay for... It’s made me hungry again writing this...😂
Word of caution - don’t forget to put your car reg into their computer when you arrive. Free parking if you do but a fine if you don’t!

We first came here 5 years ago and left a brilliant review titled Hidden Gem.
Since our first visit we have been here dozens of times but felt that it wasn’t the same since ikky the manager left to go to the Leeds branch. The service didn’t go down and the food was just as good but he was a very friendly guy.
This was our first visit since lockdown and we felt safe with the seating and wearing of masks.
The evening was spoilt as we were rushed at every opportunity .
The starters arrived while we were still eating our popadoms and then the starter plates were been removed while I was still eating.
To make matters worse another waiter was stood behind waiting to put the man meals on the table and I was still eating .
The chicken balti wasn’t as good as it normally is as the chicken was a bit bland and nobody came and asked if everything was ok .
We have always been asked if we would like a complimentary drink but not on this occasion .
It seemed as if they are trying to get you out as quick possible to get other diners in. They are trying to make up the money due to social distancing and having less tables .
It will be a long time before we or our friends return .
They should look after their existing customers and do everything they can to get a new customer to return.

Went to Bengal Brasserie last night with a degree of anticipation not knowing what to see . Our anxiety was squashed as soon as we arrived outside the restaurant. Greeted by automated sanitisation station, all the staff were wearing face coverings.
Met by Shaz who swiftly showed us to our table( table 1). The tables are mostly separated with perspex screens which provides an assurance that Bengal take customer care and staff protection very seriously.
The food was as ever extremely tasty, we couldn't fault anything. All the staff demonstrated a high degree of professionalism under challenging work conditions.
We highly recommend trying Bengal Brasserie.
Big shout out to Shaz, Sham and all the team at BB.
Keep it up you are all doing a fantastic job

This past Monday June 7th, my partner and I went to the Bengal Brasserie for the first time in 2021. It has been a particular favourite haunt of ours since we got together in 2018… in fact, we had our last dinner “as friends” there and became a couple the next day! We have been missing it during the time of coronavirus, and were happy to get back in there. The food was delicious, as always. We had our usual: poppadoms and pickles to start, then Korma Shathrangi and chicken dupiaza served with boiled rice and peshwari naan bread, followed by chocolate cookie cheesecake to share for dessert. The service was, like always, friendly, timely, and efficient, with staff remembering details about us and inquiring after our health and our lives. If you like Indian food, we can’t recommend Bengal Brasserie enough.

My partner and I went to the Bengal Brasserie in Wetherby on Monday November 2nd. We go there on special occasions, probably about every 2 or 3 months. We keep going back because the service is always super, the staff are attentive and welcoming, and the food is delicious. We especially love the peshwari naan and the poppadoms and pickles. The atmosphere is classy and the music is always the right volume: loud enough to be enjoyed but never so loud as to drown out casual conversation between diners. Highly recommend for a nice dinner out.

We decided to take advantage of EOTHO 50% off at Bengal Brasserie. Boy was it busy, safe social distances applied with clear customer care a priority.
As always the food was excellent, I can definitely recommend the mixed tandoori curry( I opted to spice it up to Madras strength) very nice indeed. In fact the whole meal was very good and tasty. Even managed to take home a doggy bag.Too good to waste. Looks like that's breakfast sorted for tomorrow now.
The restaurant was buzzing like a weekend night which was great to see. It is nice that the local community is supporting locals businesses after complete Covid lockdown.
Big thanks to Shaz, Sham and all the team at Bengal, especially the kitchen staff.
You're still number 1 in Wetherby for us.
People of Wetherby and beyond, don't miss out, take advantage of the 50% off, but you'd best reserve a table to avoid disappointment.

We had the best meal ever, was long overdue, the service was outstanding. We had starters and mains if I could recommend this restaurant anymore than I already do, sham and the team make everyone welcome if you are a regular or a new customer. We'll done again the bengal team 😀

We felt very welcomed and all the staff were very helpful - I brought a cake for my Dad’s birthday and the staff helped to store and present it. Friendly people; always smiling. Sabrina served our table and was very helpful and cheerful.
The food was delicious and we left with very full tummies.

Disappointed we couldn't go to the New year celebrations on the 31st December at BB, so did the next best thing, went on 1st January.
Great food,great service,great atmosphere, relatively quiet but nice mix of clientele.
Highly recommend King Prawn Puri to start, excellent flavours. Chicken bhuna, chicken Rogan Josh was very tasty, accompanied with veg pilau, garlic and coriander nan.
All in all a most enjoyable evening out. Thanks to all the staff especially Shaz & Sham.

I’ve had food delivered from Bengal Brasserie more times than I care to admit, but tonight was the first time dining in the restaurant.
I have to say the food is always fantastic but the service is suitably on-par. We walked in on a Saturday evening at prime time with no booking, Sabrina warmly welcomed us with some drinks and recommended staff favourites on the menu.
We were shown to our table after a short wait and enjoyed our feast from there.
I have nothing more to say than keep up the good work.

I attended a birthday meal at their restaurant today and it was the best service there is in Wetherby. The waiters were friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and very filling. The price was great for what you get, roughly £18pp for drinks a main meal and pudding. Would definitely recommend over bengal lounge across the road. If you want a great meal out I would definitely recommend this place. We will be back soon.

Had a lovely meal again at TBB on Friday night. The restaurant was busy when we arrived but a nice busy, not packed. Sat in a booth style table T1. Ordered drinks and poppodoms, they are so fresh and crispy, accompanied with a great chutney tray.
For mains we had chicken bhuna and lamb roshni, I asked for the roshni Madras strength. This was a great decision, both mains were lovely in their own distinctive flavour. Complimented with veg rice and the tastiest garlic and coriander nan we've ever tasted.
Another great evening in the wonderful Bengal Brasserie thanks to Shaz, Sham and the team .

We went at the request of my son as it was his birthday and this is his favourite restaurant. We've been many times before. The food has always been great.
The restaurant is lovely - very modern - and the staff are friendly and welcoming. However, for I think the first time ever I was unimpressed.
I got the impression they were using a new or relatively new ordering system (iPad) and I think that may have been part of the problem. We both ordered a starter and a main along with naan breads. My meat eating son's dishes were both correct. My vegetarian dishes were not. My starter was completely wrong - I ordered onion bhaji and got vegetable samosas. For my main course I ordered a paneer curry. There wasn't a piece of paneer in sight despite being told repeatedly the chef had put paneer in the curry. I was basically given a curry of potatoes and peas. This was, however, remedied when brought to their attention and a dish of paneer was provided although I did get the impression they thought I was making it up. It's the dish I always eat there plus I eat paneer at home so I know full well what it is.
All in all it was a bit disappointing really and that's a shame. As my son had picked the restaurant, he felt a bit bad that they'd made such a mess of my order. It has put me off a bit to be honest.
