This has in the past been viewed as Weymouth's hidden gem. Over recent years it has been a bit 'iffy' with many changes of management culminating with a sudden closure. It is now under new management, the menu is a bit smaller and more selective. I enjoyed a good meal there and feel that the Nothe Tavern has 'gone up... More

Appears to be struggling to find its identity. Refurb seems to have given it a mix of characters. Menu is a bit pretentious. Relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. No toilet roll holders in ladies, roll on top of sanitary bin? Dirty grouting around washbasin.

Popped in for weekday lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the direction the new owners have taken. Modern yet unpretentious. My burger was excellent, with truffle and parmesan mayo no less and only £12. Coffee was similarly first class and the service was fantastic without being too "in your face". Would recommend to anyone looking for a fresh take on... More

Visited in September with friends for a Sunday lunch. Staff were friendly when we arrived. The restaurant was lovely, and the garden terrace offers stunning views of the harbor and the bar area with the sofa's offers a relaxed environment for a drinks. The food was delicious and full of flavour and fantastic value for money very much worth a visit.

We booked the table in the window for a birthday lunch for my mother and six others and were so pleased we did. The staff were friendly, welcoming and kind and the lunches were delicious - special mention for the butternut squash croquettes, fish of the day and chicken and then some mouthwatering puddings. You will not be disappointed

Visited for a lunch gathering with friends in September. Great atmosphere with a choice of tables, comfy sofas or terrace for dining. The food and service were excellent, as was the location above and overlooking the harbour, but only 5 mins away from the main town and beach.

Recently visited after a friend of mine recommended the sandwiches. Hands down the worst sandwich I've ever eaten. Fair enough the bread is 'sour dough' but it was so so dry it was inedible. Burger was really bland and the bun again was very dry. Ordered a fish cake for my 3 year old which was the tastiest thing we... More

I went to the Nothe a few weeks ago and we noticed the difference and were very impressed. Went at the weekend and it was superb. Food great. Service excellent. We will be back very soon.

Went for lunch on the spur of the moment. Very nice friendly staff. Well presented eating area. Not a large lunch selection but varied. Had the chicken salad and it was superb.

I always feel that the best comment you can give a restaurant is that you would go there again. I've heard about the potted past this place has had and the first visit for me was in the summer, out on the terrace. That was a taster and I added it to my list of favourite pubs in Weymouth. You...
