We have been having takeaways from cafe India for a few years now, 9 times out of 10 the food is excellent. But have had the odd one that's not so good, food sometimes not so spicy as expected. This does not stop us reordering though. Delivery usually pretty fast. Haven't tried eating in yet, can recommend takeaways though.

Staying at a nearby campsite and they recommended this restaurant. They delivered to the campsite which was a bonus food was very good, quick delivery and reasonably priced

We ordered thru "just eat". chicken chat starter was ok but onion bhajias were dreadful, no taste and very dry. Chicken Rogan Josh, traditionally a fairly hot dish, had no heat whatsoever, very bland, no salt, no spice, more like a poor Italian sauce. Meat was well cooked and plentiful but needed the sauce. Vegetable Bhuna similarly lacked any flavour... More

Have used Cafe India for a good few years now. Just had a takeaway and was very disappointed, first of all they forgot the onion bhajis and the bhuna was like a chicken stew with rice. O/H did enjoy her tropical korma though. Will think twice before using again, even though they owe me for bhajis. There are many takeaways... More

We have been dining here for years. I review it every few years. The restaurant always sets a very good standard. The other Indian restaurants in town don’t even begin to compare. Don’t even think of anywhere else to eat but make sure I have a table. They serve the best ever onion bargees. A pleasant dining area and very... More

We ordered a variety of curries and side dishes from here and the quality of the food was awful. All the dishes looked and tasted the same which would have been ok if they had any flavour! The naan bread had little to no filling, just terrible. The only good thing was that they delivered quickly (probably because they cooked... More

We have been going here since the night it opened. We used to go there for a meal most weeks. We have moved abroad and sadly can't go very often. Managed it last week though.the flavours here are fantastic and I've eaten curry in Birmingham, Manchester, India and Sri Lanka. What a chef! Always busy for takeaways and deliveries. Wahid... More

About the 4th year we've had a takeout from here as its a short walk from our accommodation, very polite staff and a great curry at reasonable prices, I had a sublime chicken Ceylon. !! Highly recommended.

Booked a table for 4, which was allocated before we arrived, it was tiny and we asked to me moved to a larger one. There were no further bookings so obvs saving best tables in case of late booking. Annoying. However, food is very good, hot and tasty. No alcohol so take your own (there's a off licence opposite) and... More
