Pleasant atmosphere, good and tasty food and the food came to the table hot. A good and varied menu with good service.

We had lunch here in mid January. I thought it was worth a try in its new venue. I'm pleased to say the new venue is much improved. Not hard after previously being situated at the Old Castle which was 'rustic' to say the least. We had the mixed starters which were fine. Main courses of pad thai (good), chicken... More

Came here expecting a flaming Jacks steak or burger, but came away having experienced the most amazing Thai food, most unexpected, but blown away.... recommended to everyone.

Very poor sunday lunch. A pub cannot convey the atmosphere of a restaurant.Served by the young barman who seemed to be nursing a hang-over,no sign of the cook or waiter. This pub has come in various guises but has never managed to get rid of "the local" If I were the Ruan Thai owner I would open their own restaurant as... Originally took my partner here for his birthday as had heard really good reviews and it was absolutely lovely. The female waitress there is always smiling, really helpful and polite. Although there's a few comments about the décor on here, it doesn't effect the great service and food that you get. We have since been back for a couple of... More

We love Thai food so couldn't wait to try the Ruan Thai on a stay in Weymouth, as it had been so highly recommended on TA. We were prepared for the surprising nature of the area and the outside of the restaurant from previous reviews, but it didn't really improve inside! Very tired decor, most light bulbs missing etc. We... More

We paid a visit on spec without a booking, the local area was not what was expected and we parked in a crowded side road. The building looks a bit like a castle with turrets very odd. Inside the furniture was not what was expected and quite utilitarian. However what counts is the food, we were given a warm welcome... More
