This chippy did some lovely food. A great little sit-down area and take-away. The chefs looked after everyone with table-service. You could even nip next door for a pint to bring over! It is a great fish shop for sure, we have been twice in five years and found it consistently good.

There were 10 of us eating and yet our order was cooked fresh within about 15 minutes. You can order your food and sit on the patio of the pub opposite and buy drinks there. Our food was brought over to us. Great value and service in both places. We all agreed the fish and chips were among the best... More

Without a doubt the best I have ever had. Can actually tell the difference between the types of fish, which is sadly unusual these days. The pies are all round crusty, not a soggy bottom in sight. As for the chips, crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside........... need I say more?

I work for a local charity supporting older people with the aim of reducing isolation and loneliness. Since September we have been running a "Fish and Chip" club on the third Thursday of the month at the Royal Plaice. Matt and Dean have been extremely accommodating as we arrange for nearly 30 guests to attend each time (and even more... More

Without doubt, the best Fish and chips I have tasted. Not only great food, but you can also enjoy a loverly pint of Bitter from the pub across the street, (The street is only about 6 paces wide). The large fish portion is a bit special. The Chicken chunks, are genuinely Chicken breast, no odd bits and pieces. Go ahead... More

Good menu, good prices, fab fish which is well cooked and good service. Walk across the footpath to the pub and bring back your drink. Excellent.

Had great fish and chips in the restaurant BUT the toilet needs a very good scrub everywhere which would put me off going again.

Fresh fish and great chips- what else can you say about a very decent chippy. You can buy a drink from the pub opposite and have it with your meal in the restaurant or take your fish and chips over to the pub. It's a win win situation. Will definately go back.
