We stopped off here for a lunch time treat. We ordered a BLT and a tuna baguette. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Can not knock the speed the food arrived however looking at other people's orders and comparing ours there seemed to be inconsistencies in quality. Our Baguette's were undercooked and the fillings sparse.Side order of chips were overcooked. Presentation... More

This pub has two bars. I used the lounge bar with was homely. Friendly staff, local atmosphere. I didn't eat but heard they start serving food at six pm.

Stopped off on the way back to our holiday let, and had a lovely time. We got tlking to other holiday makers, and was made ery welcome by the staff. We sat outside, which was OK but the seats were right next to the road, so if you have small children maybe not so good. Almost everyone who was outside... More

Visited whilst on holiday at a nearby campsite - mainly to watch the England match! A popular pub with the locals which is always a good sign. Good pub grub, plenty of choice and they also have a specials board. Traditional pub with lots of photos of the local area up on the walls. Very friendly staff and prompt service.... More

First visit to the Foresters for quite a few years and was pleasantly surprised. Had always seen it as a drinker's pub (and a perfectly good one too) with food almost as a secondary consideration. However our lunch was swiftly served, plentiful and tasty. The real ale I had (Forty-Niner) was a little disappointing but this can often be luck... More

Just a good proper pub with no fancy airs or graces. Good beer, nice food & friendly service. Traditional inside & an outside area should it not be raining!

Visited this pub/restaurant whilst on a day out in the New Forest. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the friendly service from both the bar and restaurant staff. The place is dog friendly which is great in an are known for its walks. the food was very good

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat. Ordered the platter to share. Can't fault it... Food came out quick, was hot and very tasty. Good selection of beers. Nice little garden to sit to watch the world go by.

Traditional locals pub with two bars and outside patio and gardens. We serve great 'pub grub' at very reasonable prices. All major sporting events shown on Sky and BT Sport, regular live music, pool table, dart board and comprehensive jukebox. Very close to the train station and well worth a visit!
