This was another stop off point for us on our adventure and we had some coffee and cake. Have to say the macaroons were incredible!! Defo worth a stop off :)

I go to Life's a beach a lot because of the view, but am really upset because on my last visit I bought a large cappuccino and got charged £5 for using a credit card. I went for a swim in the sea pool came back and had another cappuccino and tea cake and got charged £5 again. But...I didn't... More

Firstly we would like to apologise for this card charge, it is not in our policy to charge on card payments so we are unsure how this has happened so it is something we will investigate immediately. Secondly, we would like to be able to reimburse you the full amount you were charged in order to help rectify this mistake.... More

Popped in for a late lunch after a swim in the sea pool. Menu and food good but service and attitude very disappointing. Not welcoming at all and customers feel more like an inconvenience.

Discovered this lovely eatery whilst walking along the beach at Bude, it was pouring with rain but still sat outside under cover and ate the most delicious food. Would love to re-visit some time.

Visited with friends. The immediate welcome on arriving and the buzz of the restaurant was great. A very nice bottle of the house red and a variety of starters were all enjoyed and three of us went for the fish stew special. The last of us went for the monkfish curry. I was so pleased that two good sized hunks... More

Came here with another couple. The setting was lovely just up from the beach. It was a little bit confusing because when calling to book a table we were told all the In door tables were fully booked there was only tables outside. When we arrived there was plenty of tables available inside and while eating only 1 family arrived... More

Wow, what a perfect place! After booking our weeks holiday nearby we booked a special Friday evening meal at Lifes a Beach, there were several people turned away on the night so definitely need to book. The staff were lovely, very attentive but not too much so! Food was beautiful, amazingly presented & absolutely delicious.

Have been here in the past and had an enjoyable experience. It is well situated on beach. This time the staff were disorganised and could be seen eating food as they were preparing it. There did not appear to be anyone supervising the team. After nearly finishing a piece of cake - was dismayed to find a squashed small fly... More

This gets super busy so I was glad I booked in advance. Such a stunning location just above the beach. Not a big fan of seafood but I loved the swordfish I tried! Not the cheapest place but definitely worth the money. All the staff were lovely and polite, explaining the specials in great detail which is great when you're... More

Imagine…….. sitting on the veranda of a restaurant which nestles among rugged cliffs, gazing at the golden sands and the sea, stained scarlet, as the sun sets. Is this the Italian Riviera? No, this is Life’s a Beach, overlooking Summerleaze beach in Bude, Cornwall, where the location and the cuisine are as fine as any in the world. The wide ranging menu uses fresh local produce and reflects the creativity and travelling experiences of the young chefs. Seafood is a speciality, prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is always relaxed and friendly. The restaurant opens at 7pm but during the day it transforms into a facility for beach goers. There is an ice cream parlour, a beach shop and a café where meals, snacks and drinks can be enjoyed on the premises overlooking the beach or taken away.‘Lifes a Beach’ is already highly acclaimed as the place to eat out in Bude, so why not come and judge for yourself?
