Out of the blue we decided to pop in one Sunday for a roast, and really glad we did. The service could not have been better, we were made to feel very welcome as soon as we entered. The food was plentiful and they tried to cater as much as they could for my wife who is totally dairy intolerant.... More

Visited this quaint old pub after a recommendation from friends and was not disappointed. The food menu was varied to suit everyone and the portions plentiful. The staff were courteous and attentive with the prices very reasonable. One tip........always book in advance owing to the popular demand.

It has been a few years and a change of ownership since we last visited here, we have now visited 3 times in the last couple of months. The food is good and menu varied, nice traditional pub grub and 3 or 4 special's. With bass and other beers on draught it has been a good couple of visits. Keep... More

I too a fiend and his two children, aged 8 and 14, for lunch after a visit to the Virtual Jet Centre a few miles away. Two of my guests had the Two Mile Ultimate Burger and the youngest had the normal sized one. They pronounced them well up to standard and all three ate every mouthful. As I was... More

Went for dinner following going to Newton Abbott races that day. When we arrived we were told it as all booked, no tables left (the dining room was totally empty at this point!). We decided to brave sitting outside. As it turned out, you are only allowed to order certain meals for eating outdoors, from the 'garden menu'. There didn't... More

Have eaten here before. Staff are really friendly and make you feel at home. Food is good but standard size is large. Lots of choice with regular and specials. Seafood pancake was lovely but huge, curry was tasty and creme brûlée wonderful. Highly recommend.

Called in for lunch on the off chance on way back from Totnes. Managed to get a nice table in the corner of the bar area . Only had the one course , however found this to be very good & will try to get back again in the future. Staff very friendly .
