If you want locally produced delicacies at plastic pub prices then look no further when did last see short ribs of beef, pheasant locally caught fish on a menu all priced under £15. This is coupled with an extensive range if beers cider and wine cellar

If you're looking for something really fancy this might not be for you. If you are looking for good honest grub with excellent ales and pleasant wines. This is the place for you. We went with friends for midweek lunch and a pint (or two). We have had some bad experiences in the area and we all were pleasantly surprised... More

Lovely atmosphere. Loved Tom our waiter! And the Aussie waitress, didn't catch her name. The food arrived promptly and very well presented. We shared a starter of crisp pork and black pudding. Two of us had venison and two had rib of beef.. Very enjoyable.

Four of us had a superb 'Sunday Lunch' meal today - what a great choice of food - not only on the Sunday Lunch menu but also the Specials board and the main menu. It really was refreshing to have an interesting menu. A lot of the food is locally sourced which I support. It is so nice to be... More

We stayed here for one night with a very last min booking and was quite impressed by the overall customer service provided by all the staff, Lisha,Matt and Andy. The manager Chris was also helpful. The room was of a good size but the ensuite was small as I couldn't sit on the wc without my legs touching the radiator.... More
