Walking in Christchurch one is spoiled for the many and varied Cafes and Coffee shops, we liked the look of Cheese & Alfie's and we were not disappointed.. a quirky feel to the place situated over two floors.. good and varied selection of food and snacks .. polite staff and prompt service .. would recommend

Nice breakfast, eggs black stone and eggs royale along with a side of very good pancakes. Coffees were ok but not great. Shabby chic decor but the place really needs a good clean.

Really nice breakfast with some different options, great coffee and smoothies and the staff were helpful. In my opinion it has a slightly American feel which I mean as a good thing.

We frequently visit for breakfast and it is absolutely amazing the food Is so so tasty and the quaint cafe style makes it feel homely and comforting but I can't stress the quality of the food, would visit every morning for breakfast if I could.. Fresh Pancakes with bacon and maple syrup... to die for!

Had dinner from the evening menu. For starters we had mushroom and basil soup and the surf and turf salad, both were very tasty and the portions sizes were very good. Our main courses were roasted vegetables salad which was warm and very tasty and the chicken milanese which was very moist with a delicious tomato salsa. Staff were friendly... More

Called in for lunch at this busy cafe. We were advised there would be a delay as it was so busy but there are newspapers and books to while away the short waiting time. The lunch was delicious and the service friendly and good. Highly recommend.

Whenever I'm in Christchurch I always make time to visit Cheese & Alfies. They serve fantastic breakfasts with great door steps of bread and great meat. Good value too. Lunchtimes they have a good selection too. Try the eggs Benedict or Florentine, Fish finger Sandwich or the daily soup & a sandwich offers. And of course before you leave don't... More

This is wheelchair accessible but only if not busy, and obviously only on ground floor and ironically toilets are UPSTAIRS. BE WARNED. But staff were great making room for us, but I can get out of my chair. The cafe is very small. Bit overpriced for basically a breakfast in a pan, but it was nice enough. Service good. TIP......
