Lunch time

Lunch for two on a dull rainy afternoon in Fowey consisted of sardines and salad and fish burger. Massive fresh interesting salad (not just leaves and tomatoes!). Delicious fish. Two glasses of house white. Really great welcome and friendly staff. Would recommend.

The restaurant was very busy, and they put us next to a party of about 16 who were very loud. It seemed to be an inconvenience to reseat us, but they did in the end. The choice was wide but the food was average and a tad expensive for what is was. No draught beer, but some good bottled ales.

Always a fantastic welcome at Sam's. Especially if Ed's working the bar & Arsenal haven't lost! Atmosphere makes the place and the beer and food isn't too bad either! Personal fave the Samburger deluxe with cheddar, half pound if i can handle it. Would highly recommend Sam's to anyone who is looking forward to a good meal with good music... More

There has been a great deal of hype about Sams and my family and I have wanted to go for a long time as it always appears to be busy. Unfortunately it was a great disappointment. It was a freezing cold afternoon, also inside freezing, met by a rude waitress who made no effort in welcoming us in, not a... More

Very much enjoyed the fish soup in this 1970's style restaurant. Couldn't understand why the French bread came ready buttered! Pleasant glass of wine. Friendly service. No facility for hand drying in the toilets as the electric dryer had been removed. On enquiring it was suggested I use toilet roll!! To be fair a kitchen roll was put there, when... More

Came today for lunch with a friend, I had the 10oz steak and my friend had the lasagne. Both were really good sized portions, cooked to perfection. Nice fresh salad with both. Service was excellent both were very friendly and chatty. Will definitely be returning!

Went to sam's for my partners birthday. We were welcomed into the restaurant by an extremely friendly manager and staff. The customer service was second to none and everything was explained in detail. We started with cocktails which were delicious definitely try the espresso martini! We then ordered the fresh seafood feast deluxe! It was massive and tasted amazing, so... More

Food was fantastic, lovely atmosphere and great waitressing Sophie ... Restaurant bustling but we managed to get a table early Friday evening. The menu selection is great, two of us shared the Seafood Feast which was more than we could manage but the gents helped us out. The others raved about their food too. Restaurant was cosy and informal, loved... More

We tend to go early to Sam's as it does get busy, even in October. Went twice during the week. Recommend the cocktails from upstairs, the bar man knows his stuff.
