I usually enjoy tea and scones in the garden when I visit this tremendous little cafe. However, on a chilly November morning my friend and I ordered piping hot coffee and bacon sandwiches. The bread was thickly cut and home-made and the sandwiches were jam packed with rashers of tasty bacon. Delicious! The ambiance was warm and friendly as ever... More

Lovely, cosy cafe, great food, fab service! We had cheese on toast - don't be fooled by the simple sounding description of this delicious dish, it was gorgeous - my mouth's watering at the memory! They also welcomed our dog, which was very kind & there is a separate (equally nice) room if you prefer not to share with doggies.... More

Walked in here and was a delightful little fin. A copious amount of different cakes and goodies. I had the best Cornish rarebit ever and my partner had a fresh crab sandwich on to quote "the nicest gluten free bread ever". Excellent tea rooms and proper English.

I always visit this busy traditional tea-shop when I am in Fowey. I particularly enjoy the fresh crab sandwiches which I have made with gluten-free bread. All the food looks delicious most of it locally sourced.

We visited for an early lunch with a baby and toddler. The dining room was very warm and inviting with the fire alight. We chose jacket potatoes which were very well cooked and a good size in keeping with the price! Tea was delivered in a lovely big pot with extra water too which was lovely! The homemade dessert was... More

Spent the day in Fowey on a Monday and found several shops/tea rooms closed so we tried The Dwelling House. We were cordially greeted by the owner on entering who enthusiastically detailed the various cakes and teas on offer. Having chosen our various choices of cake and teas we made ourselves comfortable in this rather old fashioned but comfortable tea... More

Visited for breakfast and the lady kindly went out of her way and made Porridge for my partner. This is an Old fashioned tea room that had fantastic looking cakes, with all the staff very welcoming.

This place has a really good menu for tea, including its own tea and Tregothnan teas, plus delicious scones, cakes etc Nice large teapots with built in strainers, plenty of hot water and milk. Even a cosy warm blazing fire.

A lovely venue for lunch with home made dishes and serving Tregothan teas in a large pot with plenty of hot water. The crab sandwich was superb as was the home made soup. Beautiful old building with a lovely bathroom, flags on the floor and very friendly staff.

Thank Anthony G
