The service was good (the girl behind the bar was new, so had to ask a few questions but that's to be expected) and the starter (grilled goat's cheese) was delicious but that's where the positive experience ended. Cannot fault anything - the food, the service, the menu, the value for money..... Today it was better than before though as they had a close-up magician entertaining the post-food/pre-bill tables. Mike Donoghue (01913703701) gave us a good 10 minutes of card and other magic along with his devastating wit and repartee. The bar is well stocked and the beers... More

Staff helpful, polite, food absolutely gorgeous including desert. Can recommend chicken in mushroom and garlic sauce. The fish was a whale and the chips were cooked to perfection. See you soon as we will certainly be back.

Only downside is you can't book a table. Food is amazing. The portions are also huge! I always go for the lasagne which comes with garlic bread and homemade chips. Best pub food around.

Been here a few times over the past year and never had a bad meal. Always hot, fresh and tasty. The portions are always a nice healthy size. Had the lasagne today - beautiful! Staff always helpful and friendly. Will be returning.

We went with friends a while ago and the food and service was a bit disappointing so we decided not to go again. However, my wife and I decided to give it another try. The improvement was very good. The young ladies who served us were pleasant and very helpful and the food was very nice indeed. If you have... More
